Out of the big blind, Danny Dayani bet the A♥Q♠8♣2♠ turn for 12,000 and the Q♥ river for 15,000. Huawei Sun called both times in the cutoff without any hesitation and was shown the Q♦8♦ for queens full oh eights by Dayani.

That was more than enough to win the pot and propel Dayani to a six-figure stack.

With 22,000 in the middle to the A♦3♣2♦ flop, Jacques Marais and Adam Woolf both checked. Marais bet the 4♠ turn for 12,000 to get a call by Woolf, then bet another 15,000 on the 7♦ river. Woolf moved all-in for little more to get snap-called and showed the A♥7♠ for rivered aces and sevens.

Marais had that crushed all the way with the 3♥3♠ for a set of treys to further boost his already big stack prior to the dinner break.

In three way action to the 10♥8♥5♠ flop, a shorter stack opted to jam for around 28,000 and Jacques Marais asked for a count to then call. Chris Gower, who had just received his dinner order, quickly called while Marais still flashed his cards to Theuns Prinsloo.

The short stack tabled the A♣10♠ for top pair and top kicker, but was in rough shape against the 8♠8♦ of Gower. Some hope came with the A♥ turn but the 7♥ river secured the pot for Gower.

On the tail end of a Q♠6♣6♥8♦4♣ board, Josh Liebenthal had checked and then faced a bet worth 6,000 by a late entrant. He went into the tank and nearly used one time bank extension before the one most popular question followed:

Liebenthal called a few seconds later and was shown the J♣3♠ for air, which he had beat with the A♥10♦. Their table broke right after as the field had plummeted prior to the dinner break.
