Pillay Wins a Three-Way Pot

In a three-way limped pot to the K♥5♣3♣ flop, Rudolf Fourie bet 500 out of the small blind and Alvin Pillay called in the big blind, as did Bradley Moore on the button . The A♦ turn was checked by Fourie, Pillay bet 2,000 and two calls followed.

When the A♠ river paired the board, Fourie inquired "where is the button, I am lost" before he then checked. So did the other two players and Fourie showed his 3♠2♦. Pillay had that beat with the 10♦5♥ and Moore also exposed his 8♣4♣ for a missed flush draw and gutshot.

Following a raise to 700 and a call by Alvin Pillay in the small blind, Nick Sissou bumped it up to 3,000 from the big blind. Both the initial raiser and Pillay called to see the K♣10♠3♣ flop. Only Pillay check-called for 3,500 before they checked the 10♦ turn.

Pillay then fired a bet of 12,000 on the 5♦ river and Sissou reluctantly folded. They bantered back and forth until the cards were eventually exposed as Sissou had the A♣Q♦ for a missed gutshot, which was beaten by Pillay's A♦K♠.

The cards were already on their backs and the dealer announced a seat open on table five, which had recently opened. Bradley Moore was spotted raking in a large pot as his K♥7♦ in the blinds had outflopped an opponent with the A♥K♣. The K♠Q♣7♥8♥6♠ board had provided two pair and top pair as well as top kicker went broke.

It was the second elimination on Day 1b and another one followed shortly after.
