Sissou Triples While Zhang Busts

Three ways to the 10♣9♥2♣ flop, Nick Sissou was all-in out of the small blind and earned calls from Ahmed Karrim in the hijack as well as Tony Zhang on the button. Karrim bet the 6♠ turn for 19,000 and Zhang called for nearly two thirds of his remaining stack.

That led them to the Q♣ river on which Karrim bet another 10,000. Zhang was covered by that and called all-in to get shown 9♦9♣ for a set by Karrim. Zhang knuckled the table in defeat and mucked his cards but Sissou showed his J♣6♣ for a rivered flush to triple up in the main pot.

Heads-up to the K♥6♥2♥A♦ turn, Bradley Moore in the big blind checked the second street in a row. He then faced a bet of 9,000 by Merwan Corront and sent the cards into the muck eventually.

One table over, Ahmed Karrim invested 9,500 on the 9♠5♥2♣K♠ turn along with Nick Sissou. They checked the J♠ river and Sissou showed his A♥4♥ for a missed wheel draw. Karrim won yet another pot with Q♣9♣ to further cement his status as one of the chip leaders.

The action has picked up a lot in the last hour or so and another three-way pot emerged over on table eight. Darryl Shaff and David Ng looked up the all-in of a shorter stack before Shaff then mucked the K♦8♦7♠6♣J♣ river, exposing K♠J♠ for rivered two pair.

He had been up against the 7♣7♦ of the short stack and the K♣K♥ for top set by Ng, as the field was reduced by one.

In a preflop raising war, Huawei Sun in the cutoff made it 65,600 total to go. Peter Sissou was his only opponent in the small blind and had 25,600 invested by then. Once Sissou confirmed the amount of Sun's reraise, he declared the call and they headed to the 7♥4♦2♦ flop. Sissou moved all-in and Sun snap-called.

"SM" joked towards Muaaz Gani that he wanted him to hit a king when they got the chips in preflop. That's exactly what happened when Gani was all-in with the K♦K♣ and SM only had the A♣Q♥. The K♥J♣4♥ flop provided the top set, but the 3♠ turn and 10♦ river gave SM broadway.
