Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Alexi Alexandrou was all-in for 41,500 with the A6 and so was Bradley Moore for more with the AJ. Menesh Keshav had both comfortably covered and revealed the AJ with all chips going in preflop.

The 9875J board gave Alexandrou a nine-high straight and he tripled up.

Final Break of the Night for Day 1c

Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Only 33 players remain upon completion of level 12 on Day 1c, all vying for one of the 24 top spots to secure their seat for Day 2. They have been sent on a scheduled 15-minute break during which the feature table line-up will change.

In the meanwhile, Day 1d has returned from the first break for level five with 48 players out of 59 entries remaining. This has basically reached the guarantee and the late registration remains open for another three hours.

Shannon Elizabeth had defended her big blind off a short stack and flopped second pair on 1074 with the Q7. However, the KQ of Mathew OrdHume got there when the board completed with the 4 turn and 8 river to end her run.

She can still enter Day 1d but also has chips from Day 1a at her disposal. The attempt to run up a bigger stack was however not successful.

Leon G More Than Doubles

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Four players limped in and David Ng then raised to 24,000 in the big blind. Only Leon G called with a short stack behind and the K92 flop was checked by both players. Ng bet the 9 turn small and folded to a shove, shrugging and remarking "I have nothing".

By picking up the other limped chips, Leon G more than doubled in the hand.

In the meanwhile, there were two other eliminations to reduce the field to the last 29 players with 24 of them set to advance.

Van Eeden Doubles Through Kotsikaris

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Kosta Kotsikaris raised to 12,000 and was called by Lagen Zackey in the cutoff. Tony van Eeden then jammed for 60,000 in the small blind and Koutsikaris started some table chat. "Do you want the call?" he asked before realising that Zackey was still in the hand and instantly apologizing.

The call by Kotsikaris followed after one time bank vanished and Zackey folded.

Tony van Eeden: 88 All in
Kosta Kotsikaris: 55

Van Eeden had the superior pair and improved to a full house on the 94384 runout.
