Several hands passed without any major action and it was then back to table nine when the completed board showed K♠8♥8♣K♦7♦. Sean Bloom bet 75,000 and Dawie Cronje celebrated vividly before he called all-in for 73,000.
Bloom showed the A♣ and Cronje rolled over K♣K♥ for quads kings.
Sean Bloom raised in late position and then called the shove by Okkie Fourie for 42,000 in the cutoff in the first hand of the money bubble.
Okkie Fourie: K♣K♦
Sean Bloom: K♠9♠
The J♥8♦8♣7♣2♣ board had a small sweat but Fourie survived. For each hand on the stone cold money bubble, three minutes will be deducted from the clock.
Gavin Sardini raised and then called the shove by Benjamin Lingenfelder Jr for 77,000 in the next seat out of the hijack. They had to wait for all other tables to finish in case there was a second all-in near the money bubble before proceeding.
Benjamin Lingenfelder Jr: A♠8♠
Gavin Sardini: A♥Q♠
The A♣Q♣3♦6♥Q♦ board sent Lingenfelder Jr to the rail and the field was down to the last 41 contenders.
On the rail end of a A♠A♥6♥Q♠5♣ board, Alan Jung checked and faced a bet of 80,000 by Stephen Courtney. Jung reluctantly called and instantly showed his J♠J♦, which was no good as Courtney had the A♣Q♥ for the nut full house.
Another big stack added some chips and that was Gavin Sardini. On a 8♣4♥3♠ flop, Sardini in the small blind and Benjamin Lingenfelder Jr in the big blind checked. Keenan Pienaar bet 18,000 on the button and Sardini called. Lingenfelder Jr check-raised to 50,000 and Sardini was the only caller.
Both checked the 6♥ turn and Sardini bet the 9♣ river for 80,000, Lingenfelder Jr reluctantly folded.
Greg Tucker had previously scored a big knockout to soar up the leaderboard and then defended the big blind with the K♦8♦ against a min-raise by Sean Bloom with the Q♥10♣ from an early position. Tucker check-called for 12,000 on the Q♦8♥5♦ flop and 22,000 on the Q♠ turn.
On the K♣ river, Tucker checked and Bloom bet 55,000 to win the pot without showdown as Tucker let go of his two pair.
The field is down to the last 42 players, though, it could have been forty when the last two all-in showdowns would have brought an elimination.
Venesen Naidoo was the one to leave empty-handed and there was more action on table ten moments later.
Braam Van Huyssteen limped in from under the gun and Chrissy Luyt raised to 27,000. Eben Lottering moved all-in for very little more in the big blind, which Van Huyssteen and Luyt called. The two active players checked down the 7♦4♦4♥10♦Q♠ board and Lottering's K♠Q♣ earned a triple up, as Van Huyssteen with A♠9♠ and Luyt with K♣9♣ could not beat him.
Yogesh Jeebaun had departed from the feature table as Max Deveson took his seat. On the way there, Deveson pointed out that Ahmed Karrim was all-in on the outer tables with A♠2♠ against the K♣K♦ of Hennie Appel.
The 8♦6♦2♣7♦10♦ board failed to improve Karrim and he was sent to the rail as well. Only 43 players remain.
