Hellmuth Loses a Ton to Bonomo

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Picking up the action following a flop of {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, Phil Hellmuch checked from the cutoff and Justin Bonomo bet 20,000 from the button. Hellmuth check-raised to 43,000, Bonomo called, and the {J-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Hellmuth bet 58,000, Bonomo called, and the {K-Hearts} river completed the board. Hellmuth bet 145,000 and after a few moments Bonomo raised all in for not much more.

Before the dealer finished counting out the amount, Hellmuth folded.

"What's it like, Justin?" asked Hellmuth. After a few more comments from Hellmuth, Bonomo responded.

"I'm not the one who was caught bluffing," replied Bonomo.

"I wasn't bluffing," said Hellmuth.

"Then why did you fold for like 20,000 more?" asked Bonomo.

"Why put in 20,000 if I know I'm beat? I think it was more, anyway," said Hellmuth.

Les Doubles Through Soverel

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Sam Soverel raised to 5,500 from middle position, Jason Les three-bet to 13,000 from the small blind, and Soverel called.

The flop fell {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Les check-called 10,000 from Soverel. The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and Les checked to Soverel who bet effectively 45,000. Les called all in with {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} for aces full of queens, having Soverel's {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} drawing dead.

The river was a meaningless {9-Diamonds}, securing the double for Les.

Berkey Beats Gipson

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Matt Berkey checked a {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop with about 90,000 in the middle, heads up with Keith Gipson.

Gipson led for 33,000 and Berkey shipped it in for 156,000 total. Gipson got a count and made the call, leaving him just 67,000 behind.

Berkey was ahead with the {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} versus Gipson's {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} in a classic match-up between to overpairs, and held on an {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} run out.

Daniel Negreanu

From under the gun, Christoph Vogelsang raised to 4,000. Tony Gregg called from the cutoff seat, Vitaliy Rizhkov called on the button, and then Daniel Negreanu reraised to 26,000 out of the small blind. Everyone folded back to Rizhkov, and he called.

After the dealer dropped the {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop in the middle, Negreanu bet 25,000. Rizhkov folded, and Negreanu let the table pick one before he revealed the {A-Hearts} from his hand.

Scott Seiver - Eliminated
Scott Seiver - Eliminated

Fedor Holz raised to 6,000 from middle position, Bill Perkins called from the cutoff, Scott Seiver called from the button, Nick Petrangelo called from the small blind, and Dan Shak called from the big blind.

The flop came down {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and action checked to Holz who continued for 10,500. Perkins called before Seiver raised all in for 125,900. Petrangelo and Shak folded, Holz tanked for a bit (using two time-extensions) before he called, and Perkins folded.

Holz: {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Seiver: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The {8-Diamonds} turn and {9-Clubs} river completed the board, no help to Seiver, locking up the pot for Holz.
