Rast Gets It In

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Brian Rast made it 15,000 and Bill Perkins three-bet the big blind, making it 45,000. Rast called and they went heads up to a {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop.

Both players checked, but when the {10-Clubs} turn came down and Perkins bet 50,000, Rast shoved it in.

Perkins folded, and while both players were headed in different directions going into the hand, the current trend reversed itself this time around.

Smith Crests Seven Figures

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Dan Smith continues to climb the leader board here, now over the one-million mark after a pot with defending champ Brian Rast.

Rast opened the button with a raise to 15,000 and Smith three-bet out of the small blind to 54,000. After David Peters folded the big blind, Rast made it four bets, adding 82,000 more.

Smith called and they both slowly and deliberately checked down the board with Smith's {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} four flushing to take it down.

Stephen Chidwick Eliminated by Phil Laak

Level 10 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 15,000 from middle position and Daniel Negreanu called from the big blind.

The flop came down {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Negreanu check-called 16,000 from Chidwick to see the {J-Diamonds} turn. Gregg Survives

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Tony Gregg pushed in over a Tom Marchese raise and when it folded back to Marchese, he snap-called with the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

Gregg was racing for his tournament life with the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and got there right away on a {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop. The {6-Spades} turn and {a-Diamonds} river were of no use to Marchese and Gregg doubled.
