Bonomo Eliminates Petrangelo

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo (from Day 1)
Nick Petrangelo (from Day 1)

Catching the action on the flop of {2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, Nick Petrangelo moved all in for 42,500 from the big blind and was called by Justin Bonomo.

Jason Mercier then raised to 131,000 in the cutoff as Leon Tsoukernik folded the button. With the action back on Bonomo, he back-raised to 310,000 and Mercier instantly folded.

Bonomo: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Petrangelo: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

With Petrangelo drawing to a flush, the {K-Spades} on the turn would now open outs to a gutshot straight.

However, when the river landed the {5-Spades}, Petrangelo would be sent to the rail as Bonomo soared up to nearly 1.4 million in chips.

Peters Doubles Through Smith

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Dan Smith bet 9,000 from the button on a {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, and David Peters raised to 24,000 from the big blind. Smith called, seeing an {a-Spades} turn. Peters bet 36,000 and Smith called right away. On the {8-Diamonds} river, Peters moved all in for 74,500. Smith took some time but called, and his {a-}{j-} was no good against {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Klein Scores Huge Double; Petrangelo Crippled

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

From under the gun, Doug Polk opened to 10,000 only to have Nick Petrangelo three-bet the hi-jack to 32,000. With the action on Bill Klein in the cutoff, he made it 103,000 to go.

Polk folded, but Petrangelo called as the flop landed {4-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{J-Spades}.

Petrangelo checked and Klein continued for 76,000 with Petrangelo calling as the turn landed the {6-Hearts} and he checked once again.

Klein moved all in for 378,000, and after a moment of pause, Petrangelo called.

Petrangelo: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Klein: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

With Klein flopping top set, he would need to fade one of the final kings in the deck to remain alive.

The dealer delivered the {7-Spades} on the river, and Klein doubled through to over 1.1 million in chips as Petrangelo was left crippled with just 24,000; good for nearly 5 big blinds.

Peters Doubles

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

With the board reading {7-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and roughly 55,000 in the pot already, David Peters found himself all in for his last 54,000 with Dan Smith having called.

Smith: {K-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Peters: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}

With Peters at-risk and trailing, the {Q-Hearts} on the river would improve his hand to a superior two pair while simultaneously ensuring him the double to roughly 165,000 while Smith dropped to 565,000 in chips.

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari

According to the players at Antonio Esfandiari's old table, he got {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} in on a board of {k-}{q-}{3-}{6-} but ran into the {k-}{q-} of Justin Bonomo. No three arrived on the end to save "The Magician," so he went bust.

Marchese Folds to Negreanu on River

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

With the board reading {4-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{3-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and roughly 69,500 sitting in the middle, Tom Marchese checked to Daniel Negreanu who bet out 32,000.

Marchese called, and when the river land the {5-Hearts}, he checked again.

Negreanu bet out 65,000 and Marchese went deep into the tank eventually having to automatically use one of his time extension buttons. As his additional minute closed in on expiring, Marchese folded and dropped to 200,000 while Negreanu motored up to 555,000 in chips.

Marchese Building

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Tom Marchese opened to 11,000 and both Daniel Negreanu and Byron Kaverman called from the button and big blind respectively.

The flop fell {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Marchese continued for 15,000 as only Kaverman called.

The turn of the {6-Spades} saw Kaverman check and Marchese bet 50,000. Kaverman passed, and Marchese scooped the pot.

Klein Shoves On Mercier and Petrangelo

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

With {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} on the felt, Jason Mercier put in a bet of 101,000 last to act. Nick Petrangelo called in the big blind, but Bill Klein shoved in for just a bit over 300,000. He got two quick folds and scooped the pot.

Marchese Surviving

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Tom Marchese shoved his last 97,000 in from the button over a cutoff open from Pratyush Buddiga, who called with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Marchese had {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and the pair held as the board ran out {k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

Vogelsang Not Perfect

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Tony Guoga won a showdown with Christoph Vogelsang in a pot we didn't see, and he unleashed one of his famous verbal tirades.

"You can't even beat a king?" Tony G. said incredulously. "Where are you from?"

"Germany," Vogelsang said.

"German robot," Guoga said. "Any time you can't beat a king, you should be embarrassed."

"I can live with making mistakes."

"No, you have to be perfect! You're a professional!"
