Vogelsang Adds Some

Level 19 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Jason Koon raised to 55,000 on the button and Christoph Vogelsang decided to defend his big blind, calling with {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

Vogelsang outflopped Koon's pocket fours on the {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} but his bottom pair looked all but thrilling.

The defending champion, however, check-called 40,000 and the {2-Diamonds} turn was checked by both players. The {J-Hearts} river was certainly a good card for Vogelsang who checked to Koon. He tapped back and Vogelsang picked up a small but important pot considering he's the shortest stack on the table.

Koon's Fives Stay Good Before Break

Level 19 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski opened button to 70,000 with {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Jason Koon defended big blind with {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

Both players checked the flop to a board of {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Koon bet 125,000 and Badziakouski called. They both checked when the {k-Clubs} fell and Koon won the hand with his superior pair.

Players went on a 10-minute break.

Vogelsang Makes Badziakouski Fold Higher Pair

Level 20 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang was in the small blind, peeling {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}. He had a fairly standard move to do, shoving his 25-big blind stack. He did so and while Mikita Badziakouski found a higher pair, the {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}, he wasn't willing to get his money in.

Mikita Badziakouski completed with {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Daniel Negreanu woke up with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} and made it 120,000. Badziakouski called.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Badziakouski check-called 75,000. He led out 110,000 on the {6-Clubs} turn but Negreanu met that with a raise to 410,000 that ended the hand.

Level 20 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Justin Bonomo raised the button 65,000 with {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Christoph Vogelsang (small blind), who has been on a card distribution heater so far, once again looked down at a premium combination and jammed for 740,000 with {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Bonomo took his time but then folded.

Two Pair for Badziakouski

Level 20 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski opened button with {8-Spades}{6-Spades} to 75,000 and Jason Koon flatted {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} in the big blind.

They saw a {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop that favored the opener, and he bet 65,000. Koon called. The turn was a {6-Clubs} and Koon checked again. This time, he faces a far bigger barrel of 275,000, inducing him to fold.

Trips for Bonomo

Level 20 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

From the cutoff, Daniel Negreanu opened to 75,000 with {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. He found a customer in Justin Bonomo who flatted from the small blind with {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

Negreanu tried to claim the pot with a 50,000-bet on the {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} but Bonomo had no reason to give up.

He called and the {A-Hearts} hit the felt. Bonomo led out 75,000 and Negreanu waived the white flag.
