Soverel's Rampage Continues as He Busts Durnegger

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 3,000 ante
Markus Durnegger
Markus Durnegger

Sam Soverel has added another chunk to his stack, eliminating Markus Durnegger.

Durnegger (big blind) bet 75,000 on the river of the {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} board and Soverel casually slid in a tower of the green chips, covering Durnegger's belongings.

"That was quick," Durnegger said before pushing in his remaining 130,000 or so. Soverel turned {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for an ace-high flush and Durnegger flushed his inferior {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} before departing.

Adams Gets Most of Ivey's Stack

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 3,000 ante

Phil Ivey opened for 10,000 first to act and got action from Brandon Adams and big blind John Andress in a hand that stretched into break. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and everyone checked to the {4-Hearts}. Andress bet 20,000, Ivey called and Adams made it 110,000. Only Ivey stuck around. On the {10-Hearts} river, Ivey check-called 140,000.

Adams rolled over {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for a flush and Ivey couldn't beat it.

Katz Celebrates First-Time All-In Victory

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 3,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Cary Katz was down to his last 23,000, moving all-in with {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. John Andress looked him up, holding {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

Things looked good for Katz but Andress got some extra outs on the {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} turn, drawing for a flush.

"I've never won an all-in in the Super High Roller Bowl," Katz said.

The {8-Clubs} river filled Andress' flush, confusing Katz for a few seconds. Then he realized he made a boat and celebrated his double.
