Aras Good at Showdown

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player limped from the button, only to be met with a raise to 6,500 from Jeremy Aras in the small blind, and a three-bet to 20,500 from Jean-Louis Etchepare in the big blind. The button folded and Aras called.

On the A85 flop Aras check-called a bet of 8,000 from his opponent.

The A turn and 5 river were both checked through.

Aras showed AQ for trip aces, while Etchepare showed AJ, also for trip aces, but Aras' queen kicker played and sent him the pot. The rest of the table seemed perplexed that no more chips went in after the flop given the players holdings.

Israel Forced to Three-Bet/Fold

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player opened to 3,000 in middle position and received a call from an opponent in the next seat, and Mourid Abdejebbar in the cutoff.

Action folded to Nemo Israel in the big blind, who reached for chips and produced a three-bet to 17,000. Two of his opponents folded, but Abdejebbar back-jammed for 102,500, covering Israel. After some thought, Israel sent his cards into the muck.

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Laurent Michot opened to 4,500, only to be met with a three-bet to 16,000 by Wellington Lessa Guedes.

Action folded back to Michot, who moved all in with the covering stack. After some thought, Guedes made the call, moving his 44,500 stack into the middle.
