Spir Flops an Unorthodox Straight

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Claude Mamalepot opened to 900 from middle position and he was called by the button and by David Spir in the small blind.

All three of them checked the 365 leading to the A turn, where Spir checked again. Mamalepot bet 2,600 and made the button fold, but Spir check-raised to 6,600.

Mamalepot eventually called, then went into the tank when Spir bet 13,500 on the A turn. After a few seconds, Mamalepot called but his cards went into the muck after Spir flipped over 74 for a flopped straight.
