End of the Day for Bifarella

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

After he was eliminated with a set again a straight during the first level, Samuel Bifarella returned to the table of defending champion Mohamed Iche.

Zoubir Ben Rabia opened to 800 from early position and was called by the player to his left, Guillaume Darcourt in the cutoff and Jean-Marc Chiba on the button, but Bifarella in the small blind squeezed to 5,800. Ben Rabia was the only one to call.

Bifarella continued for 4,000 on the KQ7 flop, then fired a second barrel of 8,000 on the 4 turn. He was called twice and then moved all-in for 24,500 on the 8 river. Ben Rabia snap-called.

Bifarella had top pair on the flop, but Ben Rabia completed a flush on the river, sending Bifarella to the rail for the second and final time today.

Choffardet Doubles Up with a Set

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Four-way on a board of 52910, the big blind bet 3,500 but Mathieu Choffardet in early position raised to 8,000. The two other players folded to the big blind who called.

The 4 completed the board and after the big blind checked, Choffardet moved all-in for 43,800.

The big blind called with 22, but seemed to know that Choffardet had a better hand. He did indeed have the best hand with 99.

Faraut Can't Do Much Against Aces

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

A player opened to 1,000 from the hijack. Patrick Faraut called from the cutoff, as well as Davidi Kitai in the big blind.

The initial raiser continued for 1,600 on the QJ5 flop. Faraut called but Kitai gave up at this point. The second barrel of 3,000 on the 10 turn was called once again, but both players checked the 4 river.

The hijack flipped over AA. Faraut didn't have a better hand and sent his cards into the muck.

Forge Runs Into a Flush

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

In a blind versus blind situation, recent Marrakech Poker Open winner Tristan Forge opened to 2,000 from the small blind and was called by the big blind.

Both players checked the 910K flop leading to the A turn where Forge bet 3,000. The big blind called, then after Forge checked the 3 river, he bet 7,000.

Forge then check-raised to 35,000, putting his opponent in a tough spot. He eventually made the call with 98 for a flush, beating Forge's A2.

Said Forced to Fold

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

After an open in middle position, another player in midle position three-bet but saw Tahar Said on the button raise the bid to 10,500. The initial raiser folded, but the second player made the call.

The dealer fanned a board of Q452 which was checked by both players.

On the 5 river, the middle-position player bet 16,300. Said went into the tank, but eventually sent his cards into the muck.
