Where will the counter stop? After the first two starting flights of the €1,000 World Series of Poker Circuit Aix-en-Provence Main Event, a total of 715 entries have been recorded — including 393 on yesterday’s Day 1b alone. But with today’s double feature of Day 1c and the turbo-format Day 1d at Pasino Grand, that number is expected to almost double.
Among the 98 players who qualified for Day 2 through Day 1b, it was the 2023 WSOP Europe champion Max Neugebauer who bagged the biggest stack with 688,000 chips after an impressive comeback. He was followed by Mercedes Osti (525,000), while Azzedine Zouitene secured the third spot with 488,000.

Notable players like Miroslav Alilovic (302,000), Luca Moschitta (287,000), Lucia Navarro (276,000), Cécile Ticherfatine (270,000), Hugues Girard (243,000), Jérémie Zouari (216,000), Nicolas Vayssieres (107,000), Sonny Franco (101,000), Aurélie Reard (88,000), and WSOP bracelet winner Thibault Perissat (69,000) also secured their spot for Day 2. They’ll be joined by those who manage to bag chips at the end of today’s flights.
Day 1c is scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. local time with 45-minute levels and will conclude once only 25% of the field remains. It will be followed at 8:00 p.m. by Day 1d Turbo, the final starting flight of the tournament, which will feature 20-minute levels.
As with previous flights, players who have not yet entered the tournament can register and re-enter their first flight. However, those who have already played one or more flights will be allowed just one bullet per remaining flight.

After an open called several times, Adem Can on the button three-bet and was only called by the cutoff.
Can continued for 1,600 on the Q♣K♦Q♦ flop, then fired a second barrel of 1,200 on th 6♠ turn. The cutoff check-called both times.
The 9♥ river landed on the felt but was checked by both players. The cutoff flipped over 6♦2♦ for two pair. Can had 7♥6♥, so they split the pot.

Francis Hatchikian raisesd to 600 from middle position. He was called by Patrick Faraut in the hijack and by the button, but the big bling squeezed to 2,600. Hatchikian was the only one to call.
The big blind bet 1,500 on the 3♥2♥7♥ flop. Hatchikian called, but went into the tank after the big blind asked for 3,500 on the 9♦ turn. Hatchikian eventually chose to fold.
