Late registration closed after Level 11 with a total of 322 entries recorded on Day 1a of the WSOP Circuit Aix-en-Provence Main Event.

Samuel Fournier opened to 5,500 from early position and was called by Gregory Fournier in middle position. Ludwig de Saint-Etienne in the cutoff three-bet to 22,000 and made the first Fournier fold. The second one however called.
De Saint-Etienne continued for 17,000 on the 4♣7♠A♣ flop. Grégory Fournier check-called, then both players checked the J♣ turn.
The 8♦ didn't bring more action so Fournier revealed K♦Q♣. De Saint-Etienne however had A♥10♦ for top pair and scooped the pot to reach 505,000 chips.
