Chip Leader Puts His Stack to Use

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/1,200,000, 120,000 ante

David Wintersberger open-raised from the button to 260,000 with A7. Anton Heinrich sat in the big blind and defended his Q10.

The flop fanned out KJ8 and Wintersberger put out a continuation-bet of 250,000. Heinrich, however, put the pressure on his opponent and check-raised him all-in.

Wintersberger could not call his ace-high and surrendered another pot to the chip leader.

Frick Pulls Off Massive Bluff

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/1,200,000, 120,000 ante

Manfred Mueller raised to 250,000 from the small blind with A3 and Karim Frick made the call from the big blind with 64

The flop was dealt K75 and saw Mueller fire another 250,000, which Frick called again.

The turn came Q and Mueller slowed down and checked to his opponent. Frick took the chance to make a bet of 525,000 and Mueller called with his nut flush draw.

The river bricked when the Q rolled off. Mueller checked again and Frick saw no other option than to move all-in for 1,400,000.

Mueller folded his ace-high without much hesitation and Frick's six-high bluff won him a significant pot.

Schwitter Rakes in Another Double

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/1,200,000, 120,000 ante
Daniel Schwitter
Daniel Schwitter

The action folded to Daniel Schwitter in the small blind and he chose to put his final 1,300,000 chips at risk by going all-in. David Wintersberger was in the big blind and instantly made the call.

Daniel Schwitter: KQ
David Wintersberger: A10

The flop brought relief for Schwitter when he paired up on 5Q3. The aces would then remain absent when the board ran out 36 and the Day 1a chip leader won another all-in situation.

It folded to David Wintersberger on the button and he went for it by shoving all his 1,900,000 chips in the middle. "Kaspar Schmid" was in the small blind and immediately rejammed, which got big blind Anton Heinrich to fold.

"Kaspar Schmid" would flop the world on 10K3, and when the 2 turn fell, Wintersberger had no outs left. He knocked on the table and gave his executioner a handshake as the 4 river was dealt as a formality.

Schwitter Gets It Through

Level 31 : Blinds 70,000/140,000, 140,000 ante

Manfred Mueller raised to 350,000 from the cutoff with AJ and Daniel Schwitter made the call from the small blind with 64.

The flop fanned out 6QJ and Schwitter decided to lead for 330,000. Mueller called with his pair of jacks and the two saw a turn of 3 appear.

Schwitter now turned up the heat and went all-in for effectively Mueller's 760,000 remaining chips. Mueller thought about it for a bit but ultimately decided he would rather use his five big blinds in another way, and thus made the fold.

Mueller Doubles Back to Seven Figures

Level 31 : Blinds 70,000/140,000, 140,000 ante

After leaving himself short in the previous hand, Manfred Mueller shoved all-in for his last 410,000 from the cutoff. The action folded to big blind "Kaspar Schmid" and he made the call after getting a count.

Manfred Mueller: J8
"Kaspar Schmid": A3

Mueller was the one to flop a pair on 8K2, and he held on the 9 turn and 2 river.

Mueller doubled back to over one million and still has a shot at lifting the trophy.

Manfred Mueller Eliminated in 5th Place (CHF 10,000)

Level 31 : Blinds 70,000/140,000, 140,000 ante

The very next hand from the previous post, Manfred Mueller jammed all-in again from under the gun, for one million chips this time. "Kaspar Schmid", who lost the previous confrontation between the two, was in the small blind and again made the call.

Manfred Mueller: A9
Kaspar Schmid: A10

The flop brought nothing special with 4Q8, but the J turn gave both players a gutshot straight draw. However, the 2 changed nothing, and "Kaspar Schmid"s ace-ten high was enough to eliminate Mueller.

Mueller gave the entire table a firm handshake before being the first one to collect a five-figure payout.
