Clive Kikia raised to 80,000 with the J♠J♥ and Gerhard Oosthuizen called with the 5♠5♣ in the big blind. That led them to the 9♣7♠4♠ flop on which Ooosthuizen led for 100,000. Kikia raised to 225,000 and Oosthuizen folded, his opponent showed the over pair willingly.
Maureen Bloechlinger got her last chips into the middle preflop with the K♥4♠ and was dominated by her previous nemesis Wesley Blom, who tabled the K♣Q♠.
The kicker played on the 10♣5♣3♠9♦2♥ board and Bloechlinger was ousted in 14th place, following Nellie Park to the payout desk to collect ZAR 25,000.
Blom then took on Didier Mery got 175,000 preflop in the very next hand from under the gun with Blom in the big blind.
Didier Mery: A♥A♠
Wesley Blom: 6♠6♣
The J♠7♣5♣ flop gave Blom some runner runner equity and that percentage grew on the 2♣ turn. Blom vividly demanded for a club and the celebrations could then be heard in the entire room when the 9♣ struck on the river.
Gerhard Oosthuizen raised to 60,000 with the A♦7♣ from the hijack and Florian Bock defended the big blind with 10♦8♦. On a flop of 9♦5♦3♥, Oosthuizen bet 75,000 when checked to and folded to a check-raise.
Maureen Bloechlinger jammed for 175,000 in the cutoff and earned the blinds, as Didier Mery in the small blind reluctantly folded and Marko Nortje let go of Q♥3♥ in the bif vblind as well.
Bloechlinger jammed the next hand too, and Wesley Blom called all-in for 175,000, loudly declaring his "zero VPIP" from the live stream table as he was card dead.
Wesley Blom: A♣9♦
Maureen Bloechlinger: Q♠J♠
The K♣K♥10♥ flop gave Bloechlinger an open-ended straight draw but the ace-high came out on top on the 4♦ turn as well as 3♣ river runout.
Didier Mery had lost a portion of his stack and then took on Abraham Van Huyssteen in a three-bet pot to the 10♦6♣2♥ flop. Van Huyssteen jammed all-in from the small blind and Mery used almost the entire short clock before tapping the table and folding.
Van Huyssteen nodded and flashed his K♦K♥, Marko Nortje patted himself on the shoulder when he returned to his seat.
Clive Kikia raised to 65,000 from the small blind and Florian Bock three-bet jammed from the big blind with the covering stack. Kikia needed some time to call it off for 445,000 but did so.
Clive Kikia: A♣K♣
Florian Bock: A♦7♦
Thanks to a board of K♠8♠4♥4♣J♥, Kikia doubled once again and even surpassed Bock on the leaderboard.
"That was not a slowroll," Kikia declared and then tried to explain he could fold ace-king before shouting his "yes man" shortly after once again.
