Outpipped and Coolered, Park Finds a Flop

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
JOON PARK
JOON PARK

Joon Park raised to 40,000 from late position. Andrew Robinson pushed back from the small blind with a raise to 110,000. Undeterred, Park announced "all in," which was promptly called by Robinson.

Cards on their back, Park showed {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, but Robinson had him covered and dominated with {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}.

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades} to give Park a full house. He breathed a sigh of relief and raked the pot while Robinson was left shaking his head in disbelief.

Lulov Sends the Canuck Home

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
ELLIOT SMITH
ELLIOT SMITH

Venkat Chivukula opened to 35,000 from under the gun, from the small blind came an all-in of around 390,000 by Elliot Smith. Brandon Lulov cold-shoved from the big blind and Chivukula let his hand slide.

Elliot Smith: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Brandon Lulov: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The dealer spread {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and the Canadian was in front still with johnnies. The tide-turning {a-Spades} rolled out on fourth street, hitting Lulov with his bullet to take the lead.

The board was completed by the {10-Clubs}, cementing the pot for Lulov, and Smith was left out in the cold.

Reisman Gets Called Light and Says Goodnight

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
MICHAEL REISMAN
MICHAEL REISMAN

Having recently lost a heartbreaking cooler, Michael Reisman shoved about 15 big blinds on the button. He immediately got called from the small blind by Benjamin Perez and the big blind folded.

Reisman turned over the {10-}{j-} offsuit and saw the bad news when Perez flipped over the {q-}{10-} offsuit to have him dominated.

Both players made a pair on a ten-high flop, but Reisman couldn't improve further and was eliminated. "Big blind told me if small blind didn't call he would have and I would have doubled through him, I guess he wanted the bounty," Reisman shared.

Reisman earned thirtieth place after another deep tournament run.

Allen Rivers the Straight to Build His Stack

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
DANIEL ALLEN
DANIEL ALLEN

Matthew Meyer opened to 50,000 under the gun. Daniel Allen three-bet to 125,000 from middle position and Meyer called.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and both players checked.

The turn brought the {10-Spades} and Meyer led for 80,000. Allen called and took the hand to the river.

The {k-Diamonds} fell on the river and Meyer now slowed down and checked. Allen bet 100,000 and Meyer snapped called. Allen showed his {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for the rivered straight and Meyer mucked. "I wanted just the right size to get called there," said Allen.

Tang Gets Snapped Out of the Field

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The heated pot picked up on the turn with {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Spades} face-up on the felt. Ian Tang pushed and before he could even move a chip Brian Lee called.

Lee flipped over {10-Spades}{8-Spades} for a turned straight, leaving Tang in a less than an optimal spot with his {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, although he did still have some hand-winning outs.

An {a-Clubs} hit down on the river and missed Tang completely. Lee's straight scooped in the biggest pot of the event thus far, rocketing him up over three million in chips.
