The much anticipated Main Event will begin at 11 a.m. here in Round Rock, Texas, just north of Austin, at The Lodge Poker Club. It has been an incredible series with enormous prize pools thus far, and the six flights for Day 1 of this event will no doubt add to the prestige.
The buy-in is $3,000 and gets you a deep stack of 50,000 in a very player-friendly structure. Blinds will be 50-minutes long for the entirety of Day 1. Late entry and re-entry will be allowed until the beginning of the seventh level. Day 1 play will conclude at the end of level nine or when 15% of the field remains, whichever comes first.
There will be two Day 1 flights each day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., so there are plenty of opportunities to join in on the event. PokerNews will be here every step of the way, so follow along for all of your Main Event action.

One player raised preflop to 600 from middle position and found three callers, including Shiva Peddi in the cutoff and Peter Lockwood on the button.
The flop came the . Three players checked to Lockwood on the button who took control of the betting with a wager of 1,100. Only Peddi made the call.
The showed up on the turn. Peddi checked again and Lockwood put together a bet of 2,500. Before he could move them across the line, Peddi released his cards and Lockwood gathered the chips from the multi-way pot.

Jeremy Bowman called an early position raise of 600 before Raymond Brint decided to three-bet to 2,100. Brint found callers from the other two players and the hand went to a flop three ways.
was the flop, and all three players checked fairly quickly.
On the turn, players checked to Brint who now bet 3000, about half pot. Only Bowman called.
The hit the river, prompting Bowman to now lead for 8,000. Brint immediately called.
"Good call," said Bowman as he tabled . Brint revealed for turned top pair and earned himself the pot when he hung on at the river.
