Cramer Keeps on an Upward Trend

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Mahesh Rathi open-shipped 63,000 from middle position and John Cramer pushed over the top for about 10,000 more in the cutoff. The rest of the table folded and they flipped their hands.

Mahesh Rathi: {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}
John Cramer: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The dealer spread {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} out on the flop, smacking Cramer with a set of cowboys but Rathi still had a straight draw. The {j-Clubs} turn sealed it for Cramer as he landed a boat and Rathi was then drawing dead to the {2-Diamonds} river.

Ellison Flops a Chip Lead Pot

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Brian Ellison
Brian Ellison

Brian Ellison opened to 9,000 from middle position and Jacob Min three-bet to 25,000. Ellison called and the dealer fanned out {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} on the flop.

Min continued for 18,000 after seeing his opponent tap the table and Ellison then check-raised to 50,000. Min shoved for 137,000 and Ellison called for his entire stack of 136,000 in what was the biggest pot of the day.

Brian Ellison: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Jacob Min: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The set of sixes of Ellison were in the lead and the {2-Diamonds} turn was of concern. An {a-Spades} river sealed it for Ellison who scooped in the chip lead pot. Min had just one chip left and was eliminated during the very next hand.

Hand-For-Hand in Play

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The tournament is now just one away from the money and the end of the day as 29 continue to battle it out for one more elimination.

Ellison Last Elimination of the Night

The tournament reached the final 29 and Brian Ellison moved all in, totaling roughly 125,000 in chips. Michael Jozoff called and the rest of the table decided to jump ship.

Brian Ellison: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Michael Jozoff: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The classic flip had {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} fall on the flop and Ellison was still in the lead. An {a-Spades} turn card quickly turned the tides for Jozoff who took the lead with his newly acquired pair of aces.

The {10-Hearts} completed the board and Jozoff secured what was the last hand of the night, eliminating Ellison on the Day 2 bubble.
