Richardson Leaves Morrell in Shambles

Level 24 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Darion Richardson moved all in from under the gun and Johnathan Morrell was the lone caller.

Darion Richardson: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Johnathan Morrell: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The board fell {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Richardson secured a double. Morrell was left with just 15,000 chips after losing the hand.

Felix Weis Eliminated in 16th Place ($7,338)

Level 24 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Felix Weis
Felix Weis

The action fell on Felix Weis in the hijack and he shoved his stack of around 620,000 into the middle. Kristen Foxen called on the button and the rest of the table ducked out.

Felix Weis: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Kristen Foxen: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The dealer spread {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} on the flop, hitting Weis with a pair of hockey sticks and he had a chance to survive if he could pull some magic.

The burned and turned {a-Clubs} instantly hit the felt. Foxen then had Weis drawing dead to the {2-Clubs} river, eliminating him in 16th place.

Rudy Cadenas Eliminated in 17th Place ($7,338)

Level 24 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Rudy Cadenas
Rudy Cadenas

Action folded to Rudy Cadenas on the button who went all in for 1,100,000.

His opponent, James Calderaro, thought long in the big blind before making the call.

Cards on their backs, Cadenas held the {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, but Calderaro had him dominated with the {10-Spades}{j-Spades}.

The flop came ten-high, leaving Cadenas with next-to-no hope of finding a way to win, and he was eliminated.

Thanh Bui Eliminated in 18th Place ($7,338), Foxen Finds Dream Spot

Level 23 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Thanh Bui
Thanh Bui

Thanh Bui opened to 200,000 from early position. He immediately found a caller in Collin Ball on his direct left. Action ramped up, though, when Kristen Foxen raised to about 2,000,000 from the cutoff.

She would find plenty of action. Both Bui and Ball made the call. To their dismay, though, that wasn't all they had in common this hand. Ball had the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Bui had the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. To make matters worse, Foxen had the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. She had Bui covered but couldn't quite say the same about Ball.

Ball and Bui were looking for some miracle since neither would be making a set. The board offered no such magic as the {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{a-Hearts} showed Bui the payout line and left Ball with a short stack.

Jeremy Whalen Eliminated in 19th Place ($6,127)

Level 23 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Jeremy Whalen
Jeremy Whalen

Johnathan Morrell opened to 175,000 and Jeremy Whalen then three-bet shoved 590,000. Morrell called and the players turned them over.

Jeremy Whalen: {j-Spades}{4-Spades}
Johnathan Morrell: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The board came down {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Morrell won the hand with a boat. Whalen took an exit, leaving just two tables in this event.

Sung Kim Eliminated in 20th Place ($6,127)

Level 23 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Eric Afriat
Eric Afriat

Sung Kim was first to act and shoved 985,000 from under the gun. In the cutoff was Eric Afriat who decided to call and then James Calderaro made it really interesting when he pushed over the top from the big blind. Afriat snap-called for 1,030,000 more than Kim had and the three turned the over.

Sung Kim: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Eric Afriat: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
James Calderaro: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

"I know a queen is coming!" said Calderaro, and Afriat replied "This one is meant to be for me," with a smile.

The dealer fanned out {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Afriat appeared to be right. A {9-Clubs} turn left just one out from Afriat scooping and the {4-Spades} was not it. Afriat took down the entire pot, eliminating Kim from the event.
