The 2025 The Lord Poker Tournament Jeju festival continues in full swing at the five-star Jeju Shinhwa World Hotel and one of the marquee tournaments of the series with US$8 million in overall guarantees kicks off today. At 3 p.m. local time, Event #9 TLPT Main Event kicks off and will certainly attract some big names given the elevated price tag of US$15,000.

One of the crown jewels of the schedule features a deep structure with a starting stack of 250,000 and levels of 50 minutes each for this three-day event, and the late registration is open for the entire first day and prior to the start of Day 2. During the registration period, unlimited re-entries are allowed and that certainly attracts High Rollers from nearby China as the Landing Casino has proven to be a very popular destination for card enthusiasts from there throughout the last few years.

The US$3 million guarantee assigned for this flagship tournament will also be enticing as well and it kicks off the second half of the festival dubbed as the TLPT Jeju Super High Roller Series. This is the first standalone live poker series for the brand in cooperation with title sponsor AAPoker while previous tournaments were part of other festivals in Australia, one of which hosted the first-ever live satellite for the Triton Super High Roller Series.

Among those expected to join the action are the likes of Stephen Song, Yunkyu Song, Quan Zhou, Dong Chen, Renji Mao, and Dan "Jungleman" Cates, but expect to see many Chinese High Rollers to also take a shot as well.

Stay tuned for the high-stakes action from South Korea as the PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor from start to finish for this event and other high-stakes contests until the conclusion of the series on May 22, 2025.
