Birizdo and Thompson Among the Chip Millionaires
Level 12
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Gary Thompson flopped with 8♣8♠ against the A♣Q♦ of Weijue Cai and came out on top to reach seven figures next to another large stack in Istvan Birizdo.
In the next hand, Charles Chao was all-in with J♥10♥ and declared "lucky hand" when he was up against the A♣4♥ of Jiaming Zhao in the bi blind. The Q♠10♦8♠A♠2♦ board gave both players a pair and that spelled the end for Chao.
