Reisman vs. Carter: Only One Will Survive

Gary Reisman raised to 9,000 and was met by an all-in three-bet to roughly 40,000 by Bruce Cater, the winner of the first-ever $360 MSPT Regional Event held here at Golden Gates Casino. Action folded back to Reisman, who called off for what looked to be 36,000 total.

It was another flip, but Reisman held a slight lead, which he extended when the flop came down . Carter picked up a gutshot to go with his overs, but neither the turn nor river was what he was looking for.

Reisman shipped the double, while Carter was eliminated just a couple of hands later.

Aaron Massey has been clinging to a short stack for quite some time, and he recently committed his last 25,000 or so under the gun, which picked up a called in Lou Mortellarr.

Massey needed some help, and while the paired him, he needed more if he hoped to stay alive. The turn wasn't what he was looking for, and neither was the river.

We expect we'll see Massey back in action tomorrow for Day 1b.
