PokerNews Podcast Episode #344: Pennsylvania Moves One Big Step Closer To Online Poker

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Rich Ryan and Donnie Peters discussed the big winners from the 2015 WSOP Main Event on last week's podcast, but neglected to mention the biggest winner, the U.S. Government. They break down some of the massive tax payments the IRS will receive from the November Niners, and discuss the online gaming bill moving swiftly through the Pennsylvania State Legislature.

MSPT Player of the Year Leader Mark Hodge is on his third bullet. After busting late in the evening last night, he made quick work of bullett number two and is looking to make a deep run on his final bullet of this MSPT.

Mark Kroon was down to 3,500 chips not too long ago and has worked it back up to almost 30,000.

Robert Edelstein has also reentered.

Garrett at Starting Stack Again

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Ernest Garrett might have been regretting his decision to sacrifice his Day 1a stack when he was sitting with around 10,000 before this hand.

The board read {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and two players checked to Garrett, he bet 550. Two players called. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and the action checked to Garrett again. This time he made it 900 to go, both players called.

As the dealer was putting out the river card, Garrett said, "heart!"

The dealer did indeed put out a hearth, the {j-Hearts} to be exact.

"Yes, got there!" said Garrett.

The first player checked to Garrett who threw out a 5,000 chip. The next player folded. The player who opened with a check thought for a moment before calling.

Garrett showed pocket fives {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a full house. He did indeed get there, just on the turn and not the river. Perhaps his enthusiasm drew a call, either way he is now back to starting stack.

Bohn on Third Bullet, Dubray Gets One Through

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
  • MSPT Pro Blake Bohn began the day sitting in the same seat that he busted out of yesterday. That can't happen today, because Bohn busted again and is now on his third bullet.
  • Leroy Dubray, who also played yesterday was under 10,000 chips. He shoved his last 9,700 on a flop of {3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} and all his opponents folded. He added about 5,000 to his stack with that pot.
  • Todd "Odds" Hagan isn't off to the best start today, sitting with just 6,800 chips.

It Muntz Be Done, Game Set River

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
  • Nicholas Muntz shoved all in for 15,000 on a board reading {7-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Spades}. Gary Herstein, who had checked to Muntz debated his decision for about one minute before folding.
  • Cero Zuccarello was heads up for a side pot on a board reading {8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. The third player was all in and could only watch. Zuccarello and his opponent checked the flop. The {4-Diamonds} came on the turn and Zuccarello bet 5,000. His opponent folded and left Zuccarello heads up with the all-in player. The all in player held {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and was looking to double up against the pocket sixes {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} of Zuccarello. However, the {6-Clubs} hit the river and sent the all-in player home. Zuccarello won the pot is now sitting at 34,600.
