Hammers Nailed

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Tom Hammers got his relatively short stack all in from the button and was called by both big stacks Dan Hamm and Ric Cacho in the blinds.

The flop rolled out {9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and after a check from Hamm, Cacho pushed out all his big orange chips, forcing Hamm to fold.

Cacho showed {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} having flopped two pair and Hammers needed runner-runner with the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}. He got one runner on the {j-Spades} turn, but the {q-Diamonds} river didn't help.

On The River

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Hamid Feiz defended his big blind against a 30,000 chip open from Joseph Barnard, then shipped it in for some 210,000 with the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} on a {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop.

Barnard called instantly with the {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} set.

The turn came the {3-Clubs} and Feiz was about to be felted before the {8-Hearts} miracle river saved his day, vaulting him up the leader board and leaving Barnard in trouble.
