Wilkie Hits the Turn

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Steve Wilkie shoved in the small blind and big blind Tony Piazza called with {j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Wilkie had {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and was outflopped when {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} hit the felt. Fortunately for him, the {k-Spades} gave him a commanding lead on the turn. He doubled when the {4-Diamonds} completed the board.

Players are on break for 10 minutes.

Wilkie on Fumes

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Steve Wilkie bet 60,000 in a limped blind-on-blind pot and Tony Piazza made it 175,000 more on the {2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. Wilkie said he should shove but he called. Both players checked the {9-Spades}, bringing a {7-Hearts}. Wilkie checked and Piazza bet 275,000.

"Oh my, oh my," Wilkie said, standing up in distress.

He announced a call as he paced around his chair, and Piazza showed {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Wilkie mucked his {j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} face up.

The blinds checked to Ryan Remington, who bet 75,000 on a {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop. Ben Greenberg shoved for just 35,000 more in the small blind, and Steve Wilkie called in the big. Remington called also and they checked the {j-Hearts} turn for a {7-Clubs} river. Wilkie bet 200,000 and Remington folded.

Wilkie showed {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a straight and Greenberg mucked his {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for flopped top two.

Remington: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop made it a near certainty Benavram would be eliminated but he turned a tiny chance with the {q-Spades}. The river was paint but it was a {k-Spades}.

Remington With Half the Chips

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
