Begone, Bergeth

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Todd Bergeth shoved the last of his chips in from the cutoff and Dennis Stevermer was waiting in the big blind for the players in between to fold for him to make the call.

Todd Bergeth: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Dennis Stevermer: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Bergeth needed help and did not find any as the board ran out {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs} to send him to the payout desk.

Dresch Gets Cowden

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jeremy Dresch
Jeremy Dresch

Lucas Cowden was in early position and raised to 25,000. Action made its way around to Jeremy Dresch, who defended his big blind to take action heads up to a flop of {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Dresch checked to Cowden, who made a continuation-bet of 25,000 that Dresch called.

The turn came {5-Clubs} and Dresch checked. Cowden put out a bet for a second barrel and Dresch asked if it was 45,000 or 55,000. The dealer cut the stack and confirmed the amount was 45,000.

"All in," said Dresch a few seconds later, putting Cowden to a decision for roughly his last 180,000. Cowden made the call.

Lucas Cowden: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Jeremy Dresch: {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Cowden found out that he had gotten the rest of his chips in with the second-best hand after his top pair, top kicker had fallen behind Dresch's turned two pair. He did not improve as the river {6-Clubs} completed the runout and he was the next one to go to the payout desk.

Dodd Dents the Skyscraper

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Matt Dodd
Matt Dodd

Chan Pelton opened to 25,000 in early position and saw Matt Dodd three-bet to 85,000 in the cutoff. Pelton thought for a bit and then called.

"See you on the river, buddy," said Pelton as the flop came {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Pelton checked and immediately dropped in a chip to call when Dodd went all in.

Matt Dodd: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Chan Pelton: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

"I said I'd see you on the river," said Pelton as the dealer finished the runout with the turn {8-Spades} and river {a-Diamonds} hitting the felt before counting out Dodd's remaining stack of 164,000 to be paid.
