Konarske Finds Huge Triple

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Eddy Konarske
Eddy Konarske

Erasmus Morfe went all in from middle position and Ronnie Lamb went all in for around the same amount on the button. Eddy Konarske called all in as well.

Eddie Konarske: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Erasmus Morfe: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Ronnie Lamb: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

A queen came on the flop {q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs} but Konarske got the help he needed on the turn {k-Clubs} to pull back ahead. The river {k-Diamonds} gave him trips for the triple and left Lambe and Morfe both on fumes.

Luis Rosa
Luis Rosa

Stacks got in on the flop {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds} with Luis Rosa all in against Wayne Lee, who barely covered him.

Luis Rosa: {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Wayne Lee: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Lee was upset to see a higher flush draw and asked for a jack or a ten. The dealer complied on the turn {10-Clubs} and Lee held on the river {a-Spades} to send Rosa to the payout desk in 19th place.

Ronnie Lamb
Ronnie Lamb

Ronnie Lamb went all in under the gun for his last few chips and action folded around to Alex Kotliarsky, who called in the big blind.

Ronnie Lamb: {q-}{2-}
Alex Kotliarsky: {6-}{2-}

The board came {a-}{3-}{4-}{x-}{5-} to give Kotliarsky a straight and sent Lamb to the payout desk shortly after reaching the final two tables.

Shortly before that, Alex Montoya eliminated Joe Whitlock after stacks got in on the turn with two spades and two queens on deck.

Joe Whitlock: {5-Spades}{4-Spades}
Alex Montoya: {q-Spades}{3-Spades}

Whitlock found himself drawing dead as his flush draw was up against a higher one and could not improve beyond Montoya's flopped trips.

Gioia Holds To Double

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Noel Diaz opened the action with a raise to 120,000 in the hijack and Phililp Gioia three-bet all in for 560,000. Diaz asked for a count and the number was confirmed, sending him into the tank for well over a minute before deciding to make the call as time expired on the previous level.

Phillip Gioia: {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Noel Diaz: {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The flop came {k-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} to keep Gioia out in front but Diaz picked up a straight draw on the turn {4-Hearts}. However, it did not fill up on the river {8-Spades} and Gioia scored the double.

Guzman Hero Calls for Tournament Life

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

There was a mountain of chips in the middle from Abhinav Parakh opening in the cutoff preflop and seeing Benjamin Guzman defend his big blind. Guzman check-called two barrels on a board of {8-Clubs}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and checked one last time on the river.

Parakh shoved to put Guzman all in for his last 895,000 and Guzman thought for about a minute before verbalizing a call.

Abhinav Parakh: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Benjamin Guzman: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Guzman check-called Parakh's triple barrel with nothing more than a weak top pair and found his decision to be correct, bringing him over 3 million while Parakh now finds himself under 10 big blinds.

Warren Wins Flip To Double

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Neil Warren went all in for his last 365,000 in middle position and received action from Alex Kotliarsky in the hijack before all remaining players folded.

Neil Warren: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Alex Kotliarsky: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The two were off to the races with Warren in need of help to stay alive. The flop came [kck36d] and left him with two chances left. He would only need one, however, as the turn {a-Spades} gave him two pair, aces up, and left him poised for the double that was confirmed when the river {7-Spades} hit the felt.

Abhinav Parakh
Abhinav Parakh

Abhinav Parakh saw action folded to him on the button and went all in for his last 190,000. Neil Warren reraised all in as well from the small blind and Alex Kotliarsky thought for a bit in the big blind before folding.

Abhinav Parakh: {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Neil Warren: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The flop dropped {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} to give Parakh a set and the turn {6-Diamonds} left him drawing dead. The river {7-Clubs} completed the runout and sent him to the payout desk in 16th place.
