Andrew Rodgers Eliminated in 8th Place ($17,429)

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Andrew Rodgers
Andrew Rodgers

Brandon Lombardo opened the action with a raise to 200,000 in early position and received a call from Sara Stohler in the hijack. Andrew Rodgers squeezed, three-bet jamming all in for 635,000 on the button and action folded back to Lombardo, who re-shoved. Stohler quickly let her hand go.

Andrew Rodgers: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Brandon Lombardo: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Rodgers was in need of help and found it on the flop {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Unfortunately for him, it would not be enough as the turn {k-Diamonds} put Lombardo back on top. Rodgers was unable to find the case nine on the river {a-Clubs} and was eliminated in eighth place as a result, becoming the first elimination on the Final Table to earn $17,429.

Mike Shin Eliminated in 9th Place ($14,706)

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Mike Shin
Mike Shin

Mike Shin opened to 900,000 in the small blind, leaving just blue T5,000 chips behind. Jesse Vilchez was in the big blind and reraised to put him all in.

In the meantime, a hand on the adjacent table ensued and Byung Kim wound up all in against Landon Tice on a board of {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Tice had {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and doubled Shin, who had {q-Spades}{7-Clubs} and finished with a full house as the river {4-Hearts} came.

Once the hand had finished, Shin called off his remaining chips and was off to the races.

Mike Shin: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Jesse Vilchez: {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The flop {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Spades} gave Shin a set of eights but also gave Vilchez an open-ended straight draw. The turn came {7-Clubs} to complete the draw, and Shin was unable to see a paired board on the river {10-Hearts} to result in his elimination from the tournament in ninth place.

With eight remaining, the tournament has officially reached the final table and the tournament clock has been paused to clean tables and rack up chips. Chip counts and a seat draw will be posted shortly.

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Orlando Romero
Orlando Romero

Brandon Lombardo saw action fold to him in the small blind and went all in for 2.7 million. Orlando Romero quickly called in the big blind.

Orlando Romero: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Brandon Lombardo: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Unfortunately for Romero and much to Lombardo's delight, an ace came on the turn as the board ran out {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} to result in Lombardo hitting a much-needed three outer to win the pot. Stacks were counted afterwards, Romero's was totaled to be 2.13 million, and he wound up finishing in 10th place as a result.

Benjamin Craig

Benjamin Craig shoved for the last of his chips under the gun and action folded to Jesse Vilchez, who called in the big blind.

Benjamin Craig: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Jesse Vilchez: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Craig asked to get lucky after finding a dominating chance at a double, but instead, the dealer brought a flop of {2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts} to give Vilchez a pair and flush draw. Left with two outs Craig found three counterfeit outs on the turn {a-Spades} but failed hit on the river {3-Diamonds}. He respectfully wished the table a good game as the pot was sent to Vilchez and then proceeded to make his way to the payout desk.

Rickey Lee: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Brandon Lombardo: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Lee needed a queen and was unable to find one on the runout {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, resulting in his elimination from the tournament in 12th place.

Nick Pupillo

Andrew Rodgers opened the action with a raise to 140,000 in the hijack and was three-bet to 400,000 by Jesse Vilchez on the button. Nick Pupillo was next to act and cold four-bet shoved for just under 800,000. Rodgers folded and then Vilchez called.

Nick Pupillo: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Jesse Vilchez: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Pupillo remained ahead on the flop {6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} but Vilchez connected on the turn {a-Clubs}. It was more than Pupillo could overcome as the river {j-Hearts} left his hand second best and sent him to the payout desk in 13th place.

Jason Seitz
Jason Seitz

Jason Seitz saw action fold to him in the cutoff and jammed for about 580,000. Mike Shin looked down at his cards in the big blind when it became his turn to do so and quickly announced a call as he tabled his hand.

Jason Seitz: {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Mike Shin: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Seitz was in trouble and the flop {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} did little more than bring him backdoor straight outs. The turn {8-Clubs} gave him more outs to a chop, but they missed on the river {4-Diamonds} and he was eliminated by Shin in 14th place as a result.

Jamie Bassett
Jamie Bassett

Jamie Bassett open-jammed for 335,000 in the hijack and action folded to Brandon Lombardo, who asked for a count in the small blind. Upon getting the number, he re-jammed to fold out Orlando Romero in the big blind.

Jamie Bassett: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Brandon Lombardo: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

"Eight!" said Lombardo. Instead, the flop [tc3h2] brought even more outs as he picked up the nut flush draw. Lombardo's first request was fulfilled on the turn {8-Spades} and he faded the two outer on the river {7-Spades} to eliminate Bassett in 15th place.

Josias Santos Eliminated in 16th Place ($8,823)

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Josias Santos
Josias Santos

Josias Santos opened on the button and was called by Abraham Hichman, who defended his big blind. The flop came {2-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Spades} and Hichman checked to Santos, who made a continuation-bet of 165,000. Hichman check-jammed to put Santos to a decision for the rest of his chips and Santos balked for a moment before deciding to call it all off.

Josias Santos: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Abraham Hichman: {k-Spades}{3-Spades}

Despite flopping top set, Santos was behind Hichman's king-high flush. He needed the board to pair to stay alive and it did not as the turn {9-Hearts} and river {3-Clubs} completed the runout to result in his elimination from the tournament in 15th place.

Hichman Successfully Sets the Trap; Two Tables Remain

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Sean Yu
Sean Yu

Abraham Hichman limped in under the gun and action folded around to Josias Santos, who limped behind on the button. Action was then on Sean Yu, who announced he was all in from the small blind. Hichman reraised all in and Santos folded, spelling the bad news for Yu.

Sean Yu: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Abraham Hichman: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Hichman found a small sweat as the flop {7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and turn {8-Hearts} brought a real possibility of a backdoor straight, but the river {8-Spades} was safe and Yu found himself out in 17th.
