Pat Steele
Pat Steele

The player under the gun open-jammed for 31,000 and MSPT Hall of Famer Pat Steele isolated from middle position.

Opponent: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Pat Steele: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Steele was behind holding two suited over cards and nothing changed after the {2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop.

Luckily for Steele, the board came running {8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} to give him the nut flush and he eliminated his opponent from the tournament.

No Sweat Needed for Wolcyn

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Clint Wolcyn
Clint Wolcyn

Mark Steffen raised to 8,000 and action folded to Clint Wolcyn who three-bet jammed for 40,000 from the big blind.

Action was back on Steffen who thought for a few moments and then tossed out the chips for the call.

Clint Wolcyn: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}:
Mark Steffen: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Wolcyn was racing for his tournament but didn't have a sweat after the dealer dropped a {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop giving him Broadway.

The {4-Hearts} turn left Steffen opponent drawing dead and the {5-Diamonds} river secured Wolcyn's double-up.

Luke Nguyen
Luke Nguyen

Newley crowned MSPT Deadwood Champion Mark Steffen open-jammed for 40,000 and Luke Nguyen called from the small blind.

Mark Steffen: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Luke Nguyen: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Steffen found himself racing once again with a pair of eights and didn't like the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop that gave Nguyen a Broadway draw.

The {4-Hearts} that fell on the turn didn't change a thing but the {k-Hearts} river paired Nguyen and eliminated Steffen from tournament.
