While PokerNews is here offering live updates from the $1,100 Main Event, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about some of the side events that have taken place out over the past week at the Winter Poker Classic.
In Event #7: $300 MSPT Tag Team ($150/player) NLH, 135 entries created a $58,765 prize pool that was paid out to the top 27 teams. Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Brady Roth & Tyler Kolness (25th - $494), Nick Reget & Nick Anderson (21st - $646), Umut & Bulut Ozturk (14th - $881), and Jason Seitz & Jeff Theis (11th - $1,058).
In the end, it was Dylan Christiansen and Joseph Hoppenrath who collected every chip in play to capture the WPC trophy, along with first-place $14,398 payday.
