ClubGG Handing Out Over 100 Seats to Live Poker Events in December Including to MSPT San Diego

During the month of December, the ClubGG app is giving away more than 100 seats to live poker events, including an upcoming Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) tournament in San Diego.

During the month of December, the app will award 54 seats to the $400,000 guaranteed MSPT San Diego at Sycuan Casino Resort running from January 6-16.

Alan Carlson Takes Down Fall Poker Classic Event #2: $250 PLO

While PokerNews is here offering live updates from the $1,100 Main Event, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about some of the side events that have taken place out over the past week during the Winter Poker Classic.

In Event #2: $250 PLO, 186 runners created a $36,429 that was paid out to the top 21 players. Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Blake Anderson (20th - $446), Thai Dinh (18th - $484), George Veazey (15th - $558), Brandon Mead (13th - $707), and John Corrigan (10th - $707).

In the end, it was Minnesota native Alan Carlson who collected every chip in play to capture the WPC trophy, along with first-place $5,868 payday.

After the player under the gun limped-in, the hijack raised to 1,600 and was called by Donnie Phan from the small blind before George Dietz three-bet jammed for 11,800 from the big blind.

Action folded back to the initial raiser who came over the top and isolated after Phan folded.
