Deadwood, South Dakota is rich with history and the characters in that history, such as “Wild” Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, Preacher Smith, and Seth Bullock, have become legends of yore. The Franklin Hotel is no stranger to legends that have passed through its halls since it opened in 1903, including Babe Ruth, John Wayne, Teddy Roosevelt, Kevin Costner, and William Howard Taft.
With the 2021 MSPT South Dakota State Poker Championship happening right here at the Silverado Franklin Casino, poker legends will be made this weekend. Legendary gamblers and poker players deserve a legendary meal, and fittingly enough, Legends Steakhouse, conveniently located in the lower level of the Franklin Hotel, offers players delectable breakfast and dinner options at reasonable prices.
For breakfast, Legends Steakhouse offers an array of omelets and benedicts, classic fare like steak and eggs, breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy, and fun, exciting options like red velvet waffles and Rumchata french toast. If you’re looking for a morning libation, the “Meaty Mary” includes some bacon with your bloody mary for a savory, delicious start to your morning.
Dinner gives diners the complete steakhouse experience, with intriguing appetizers such as escargot, duck wings, and lobster bisque. Entrees include roasted chicken breast with apple walnut chutney, shrimp crepes with white wine creme sauce, and lobster tail with drawn butter. But the main course has to be the steaks; and with a 21-day dry aged in-house cut of your favorite filets, ribeyes, strips and sirloins, to name a few, the steak lover will not be disappointed by the selection and flavor of their favorite cut of beef.
So if you find yourself with downtime during the MSPT South Dakota State Poker Championship, head over to Legends Steakhouse at the Franklin Hotel and indulge in the rich history and delicious cuisine of South Dakota.
