Klassen Eliminated On Final Table Bubble, Aoki Triples

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Mikiyo Aoki
Mikiyo Aoki

Kitkat Klassen open-jammed the button for 350,000. In the small blind, Mikiyo Aoki moved all in for slightly less, 310,000. JC Nguyen thought for a bit in the big blind before also making the call for the massive three-way all in.

Mikiyo Aoki: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Kitkat Klassen: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}
JC Nguyen: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

'All low cards!" hoped Aoki.

The flop came out {3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}, safe for Aoki's overpair. The very connecting {2-Spades} hit the turn, giving Klassen all sorts of outs. Aoki had to dodge a lot of outs on the river, but the {q-Diamonds} was a safe one as she locked up the triple. Klassen was eliminated in 10th place.

Nuwwarah's Kings Can't Hold, Welter Doubles

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Mo Nuwwarah had just won a decent-sized pot from Justin Welter when he made two pair to build his chip stack back to healthy. Then the following hand went down.

Mo Nuwwarah opened on the button before Justin Welter moved all in for 740,000 from the small blind. Nuwwarah snap-called.

Justin Welter: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Mo Nuwwarah: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The flop was devastating for Nuwwarah when the {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} hit and Welter scooped the massive pot.

"Fuck," a frustrated Nuwwarah let out. "Every tournament I play," as he stepped away from the table for a moment.

Aoki Survives Ethridge Getting Aces Again

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Elizabeth Ethridge opened to 70,000 from under the gun. Two seats to her left, Mikiyo Aoki three-bet to 200,000 in the hijack. Back on Ethridge, she four-bet to 700,000 effective, putting Aoki all in.

Aoki thought for about a minute before folding {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} face up. Ethridge returned the information share by showing {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and Aoki escaped the preflop setup.

Welter Counterfeited, Remington Doubles

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action picked up in a three-way pot on a board of {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Mo Nuwwarah checked the small blind, Justin Welter checked the big blind, and Ryan Remington checked the button.

The turn brought the {q-Diamonds}. Again, Nuwwarah and Welter checked the blinds, but Remington bet 70,000 this time. Nuwwarah folded, but Welter check-raised to 200,000.

"Oh, this sucks," said Remington. "I'm all in," shoving for 365,000. Welter made the quick call.

Ryan Remington: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Justin Welter: {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Both players slowplayed the flop, with Welter outflopping Remington. The river was the counterfeiting {q-Hearts}, though, to give Remington the better two pair and keep his tournament alive.

Ethridge Holds On Against Aoki

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Mikiyo Aoki opened to 60,000 from early position and only Elizabeth Ethridge made the call in the big blind.

The flop was {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Ethridge checked to Aoki who continued for 55,000. Ethridge made the call.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Ethridge check-called a bet of 130,000 from Aoki.

The river brought the {9-Spades} and Ethridge checked one final time. Aoki didn't fire the third bullet, instead checking behind. Ethridge showed {k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for two pair and the winner.

Aoki Gets "First Aces of the Tournament," Eliminates Burbach

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Mikiyo Aoki
Mikiyo Aoki

Loren Burbach moved all in from under the gun for 200,000. Action folded to Elizabeth Ethridge who made the call in the hijack.

Mikiyo Aoki was on the button and calmly slid in a full stack worth 500,000.

"Give him some protection," said Ethridge, who folded {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} face up.

Loren Burbach: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Mikiyo Aoki: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Aoki was recently telling the table how she has yet to get aces this tournament. She got them at a perfect time, the {j-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} eliminated Burbach and gave Aoki the pot.

Near the same time, John Reading was seen heading toward the payout desk after being eliminated as well.
