Aoki Likes Her Dealer, Trending Upwards Quickly

After a cutoff open, the player on the button moved all in for about 50,000. Mikiyo Aoki moved all in from the small blind, having the other two well covered.

The cutoff folded and the two were off to a runout.

It certainly wasn't. Good news for Aoki showed up when the hit the flop. Her set held on the runout and Aoki continued her rise to the top portion of the leaderboard.

Sanderson Plays for Stacks

After a middle position open to 6,000, Dave Sanderson made the call in the small blind. Beau "Don K. Nado" Wilshire three-bet to 24,000 from the big blind.

The original opener got out of the way, but Sanderson back-raised all in for 102,500. Wilshire went into the tank.

"I've got jack-ten suited," he said. "I've probably got [inaudible], unless you've got ace-jack."

He eventually decided to fold and preserve his stack for another spot.

Girouard Wins a Flip

James Girouard opened to 4,500 from early position and it didn't look like he would get any action. Action folded all the way to the big blind who would change that by three-betting to 18,000.

Girouard took a look at the stack he was up against and moved all in for about 55,000 effective. The big blind called quickly.

Girouard hit a set on the flop, leaving his opponent drawing to a gutshot. The turn and river were too little, too late for his opponent and Girouard took down the pot.

Estes Celebrates Early, Gets Punished

Chris Moen opened to 4,500 from early position and Mike Estes made the call on his left. Action folded to Josh Matti in the small blind who moved all in for 21,000.

Estes thought for a bit before folding. Matti then had a decision.

"I was hoping you'd call so I didn't have to," Estes told Moen. "I think I'm drawing really, really thin," said Estes before making the call.

"Yes, that's a win!" said Matti. "At least I hope," he said, unknowingly hinting at the impending doom.

The board ran out with four spades to give Matti the ace-high flush and the double through Estes.

Wilshire Calls Down

Action began on the turn in a heads-up pot between Dave Sanderson and Beau "Don K. Nado" Wilshire. The board showed and about 28,000 was in the pot.

Sanderson bet 8,000 and Wilshire made the call in position.
