"Vegas Vic" Gayheart Dodges Everything

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action began on the turn with a board of {8-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts} and a decent-sized pot brewing.

In position, "Vegas Vic" Gayheart bet 6,000 and his opponent check-called.

The river brought the {6-Hearts}, and Gayheart's opponent checked again. Gayheart put out 25,000, and his opponent folded, but not before showing his {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for the missed royal flush draw.

Dan Bekavac
Dan Bekavac

A player in middle position opened to 3,000 and Dan Bekavac called just to his left. Action folded to a player in late position who moved all in for 35,500.

The original opener folded, but Bekavac decided to put it in, hoping it was a race.

"You have tens?" Bekavac asked.

Opponent: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Dan Bekavac: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Bekavac ran down the pocket pair on the {6-Spades}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board and added yet another stack to his own.

"Poker is easy," said Bekavac.

Bautista Wins Two in a Row

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action started on the flop with a board of {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}. Jason Bautista was heads-up with his opponent, Mike Heater on the button.

Bautista bet 5,000 from under the gun and Heater made the call.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, Bautista bet again, for 9,000. Once more, Heater made the call.

The river fell the {8-Spades} and Bautista lowered the final bet to 6,900. Heater shrugged and called the final street.

Bautista showed {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} for flopped top set that turned into the nut flush on the river.

*****

The next hand, a player in middle position raised to 3,600 and Bautista called in the big blind.

Both players checked the {4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop as well as the {a-Hearts} turn.

On the river {10-Clubs}, Bautista led for 4,500 and he saw his opponent let his cards go quickly.

Diaz Triples, Mangold Could Have Lost More

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Mangold raised from middle position before Martin DIaz moved all in for 5,600 from the small blind. Taylor Howard called the three-bet from the big blind, and Mangold called as well.

The flop was {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, both Howard and Mangold checked while Diaz watched on.

The turn was the {j-Diamonds}. Howard led for 7,000, and after some thought, Mangold made the call.

The river put out the {k-Hearts}, putting four-to-a-straight on the board. Howard checked, Mangold laughed.

"Are you kidding me? Check," said Mangold, upset at the runout.

Diaz turned over {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the rivered straight. Howard had {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for bottom set while Mangold had {q-Spades}{j-Spades} for turned top two.

"I had the worst hand. You know he's got an ace. I just can't believe it went check-check on the flop," said Mangold.

The river came the {3-Diamonds} and Schutt checked no more. He led for 4,100, forcing Heater to fold quickly.
