Another strong showing is expected today after Day 1a drew 225 total entries with 25 players punching their way into Sunday's Day 2.

Robert Michener bagged the chip lead of the first flight with a stack of 729,000. Today, another group of players will try to challenge that mark.

Following behind Michener was 2014 MSPT Running Aces champ Mark Sandness (692,000), Steve Houle (439,000), Chris Knapp (337,000), and Cassidy McCabe (337,000).

Others to advance included Jeff Grimes (283,000), Terence Reid (165,000), 2013 MSPT Running Aces champ David Gonia (118,000), WSOP bracelet winner Derek McMaster (78,000), and MSPT Hall of Famer Aaron Johnson (77,000).

Day 1b Schedule

The second starting flight will be identical to its first as the day will end once fifteen 40-minute levels are completed. All players will start with 25,000 in chips with 10-minute breaks coming after every two hours of play. All players are allowed unlimited re-entry per starting flight and registration will remain open until the start of Level 13.

Once the final level is completed, all remaining players will bag up for the night and will combine with Day 1a players for Day 2 action on Sunday, April 10th at 11 a.m. local time.

Kilgore Defends and Wins

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action on the table quickly folded to Heather Kielpinski who raised to 600 from the button and Harold Kilgore defended his big blind to see a {j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop.

Kilgore check-called the 800 bet from Kielpinski bringing the {10-Spades} turn.

This time, Kilgore check-raised to 3,000 after Kielpinski fired out 1,000 and Kielpinski quickly released her hand.
