Evans Knocks out Meiers in Monster Pot

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Josh Evans
Josh Evans

Josh Evans opened to 45,000 on the button but then was immediately three-bet to 160,000 by Dylan Meier. Action folded back around to Evans who then ripped it all in for around 900,000, covering Meiers.

Meiers snap-called and the cards were tabled, with Meiers at risk of elimination.

Dylan Meiers: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Josh Evans: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Meier was ahead going into this flip, and the flop of {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} was safe for him, but on the turn {8-Diamonds}, Evans picked up a flush draw to go with his overs. Then the {k-Hearts} smacked down on the river to give Evans the victory and eliminated Meiers in 23rd Place for a payout of $3,304.

Evans was then pushed the monstrous pot and he soared well into the chip lead with 1.6 million.
