PN Bad Beat Hotline

The long-running PokerNews Podcast features the best guests in the industry — don't believe us? Well, Jack Binion and Phil Galfond were the latest two guests and they don't get much bigger than them — and now we're offering players and fans the opportunity to get in on the action.

We've recently launched the brand new PokerNews Bad Beat Hotline where listeners can call in to +1 702-625-0166 and share a bad beat story!

We'll listen to them all and choose some to feature on future episodes of the show. They say misery loves company, so get that bad beat off your chest, share it with Sarah Herring, Chad Holloway, and Jesse Fullen, who will at the very least listen, and quite possibly share it with the entire poker world!

Be sure to give us the details (i.e. when, where, what stakes, etc.) so we can paint a full picture of just how gut-wrenching your bad beat really was!

Call +1 702-625-0166 and share your bad beat today!

Klassen Flushes Kings With Big Slick

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Kevin Klassen
Kevin Klassen

Kevin Klassen got all of his chips in the middle preflop against chip leader Elvis Toomas.

Kevin Klassen: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Elvis Toomas: {k-}{k-}

Toomas was in a great spot to extend his lead but that all changed on the {3-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} flop. Klassen flopped the nut flush and {4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} runout changed nothing as he put a dent in the stack of Toomas.

Baghdasarian Takes a Big One With Aces

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Nova Baghdasarin
Nova Baghdasarin

With the board reading {3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, Jeffery Walker already had a bet of 17,500 in front of him, but he was facing a raise to 50,000 from Nova Baghdasarian.

Walker thought it over before moving all in for a little more than the raise and was called.

Jeffery Walker: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Nova Baghdasarian: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Walker's top pair was beaten by aces and the {4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} runout was no help as Baghdasarian moved to about a quarter million.

Jump Out Flips Wakita to Surge Up Leaderboard

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Zach Jump
Zach Jump

Zach Jump and Shun Wakita got the chips in the middle preflop, with Jump covering.

Shun Wakita: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Zach Jump: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Jump took the lead on the {j-Spades}{k-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop, but he still needed to dodge some outs. The turn {k-Clubs} improved him to trips and Wakita needed a queen or a ten. The river brought the {8-Spades} and Jump scored the knockout.
