Sanchez Spins it Up

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Conrad Sanchez started the day with 16,000 chips, not even three big binds. As Level 17 winds down, however, Sanchez sits on 390,000.

Players at Table 17 told PokerNews that Sanchez's Day 2 heater began with a double-up with nine-three offsuit, and it's been all going up from there. Sanchez has plenty of chips to play with as the $360 Regional progresses through the payout structure.

All the chips were in the middle preflop with Ricardo Mendoza holding pocket aces.

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jake Liebeskind moved all-in from the cutoff and he was called by Johnathan Sheets in the big blind.

Money Bubble Bursts

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Hand-for-hand play didn't even develop on Day 2, as the money bubble burst during standard action. The 54 remaining players are all in the money, with each guaranteed at least a min-cash of $694.

Level: 17

Blinds: 4,000/8,000

Ante: 8,000

Day 1 Chip Leaders Collide

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Pedro Prado
Pedro Prado

Day 1b chip leader Pedro Prado just took down the biggest pot of the $360 Regional so far, doubling through Day 1c and overall tournament chip leader Alex Madriaga.

The hand began with Madriaga limping from early position, getting calls from Ronnie Press on the button and Prado on the big blind blind.

All three players checked the {k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop.

Prado bet 20,000 on the {3-Spades} turn, Madriaga raised to 45,000, Press went all-in for 90,000, Prado re-shoved for 469,000, and Madriaga called.

Ronnie Press: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Pedro Prado: {4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Alex Madriaga: {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Prado's turned straight left Prado looking for full house outs, but none came as the {q-Diamonds} fell on the river. Prado now holds the chip lead, with just under one million chips.

Huynh Up Early

A few of the biggest stacks in the room are seated at Table 24, and a couple of them went head-to-head on the first level of Day 2.

Pierre Poulin opened to 18,000 from middle position, and Day 1a chip leader Dantram Huynh called in the small blind.

Huynh check-called a 22,000 bet on the {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop. Both players then checked the {6-Diamonds} turn.

Huynh bet 39,000 on the {3-Hearts} river, and Poulin folded.
