Day 1c of the $1,600 MSPT Venetian Main Event has come to an end and Nick Pupillo bagged the top stack of the flight with 732,000 chips.

The third and final starting flight attracted 373 entries and 42 players made the money by surviving to see Day 2.

Along with Pupillo, Joseph Cheong (650,000), David Shaw (559,000), Anthony Spinella (547,000), and David Jackson (544,000) round out the top five bagged stacks on Day 1c.

Mitchell Halverson - Kenny Huynh
Mitchell Halverson - Kenny Huynh

Kenny Huynh was forced all-in for his last 3,000 in the big blind and action folded around to Mitchell Halverson in the small blind who had Huynh at risk.

"I love to see that," said Huynh as he first peeled a deuce, before the two players revealed their hands, and Huynh was dominated.

Kenny Huynh: {9-Spades}{2-Spades}
Mitchell Halverson: {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and Huynh was eliminated on the bubble, while the remaining 42 survivors punched their ticket into the Day 2 finale.

James Ousted by Halverson

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Kenna James
Kenna James

Kenna James had gotten his roughly 90,000 chips in on the button and was at risk against Mitchell Halverson in the cutoff.

Kenna James: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Mitchell Halverson: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

James was in good shape for the double, until the flop landed {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} to put him behind. The {4-Diamonds} turn provided chop outs, but the {7-Clubs} completed the board to confirm James' elimination on the unfortunate runout, while the field is now two eliminations away from bagging.

David Stamm opened to 10,000 from early position, the small blind flatted, and Mitchell Halverson defended the big blind.

The flop landed {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and the blinds checked to Stamm who bet 11,000. The small blind called and Halverson check-raised all in for 129,000. Stamm rejammed and the small blind folded.

James Claims a Victim

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Kenna James
Kenna James

Just before the blinds went up, an under-the-gun player opened to 8,000, the button flatted, and Kenna James three-bet to 40,000 in the big blind. The original raiser jammed for roughly 100,000, the button folded, and Kenna called.

Opponent: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Kenna James: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The two were flipping as the {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop vaulted James into the lead. The {k-Hearts} turn left his opponent needing a two-outer jack to survive, but the {2-Diamonds} completed the board and James added to his stack.

Justin Barnum
Justin Barnum

Justin Barnum moved all in for 46,000 in early position and Andrew Moreno isolated in the cutoff.

Justin Barnum: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Andrew Moreno: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The dealer spread the {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop and Barnum started to get up and walk around the table as the {k-Clubs} fell on the turn. However, the {q-Hearts} spiked the river to keep him alive as he fist-bumped Moreno and returned to his seat.

"Had to sweat it from the other side of the table," remarked Barnum, while the table was surprised that Moreno had finally lost an all-in today.

Andrew Moreno

Andrew Moreno opened to 7,000 from the cutoff and the button jammed for approximately 45,000. Action folded back to Moreno who thought about it and called.

Opponent: {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Andrew Moreno: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop vaulted Moreno way ahead, and the {9-Spades} turn left his opponent needing only the three of diamonds to survive. Instead, the {k-Diamonds} completed the board, and Moreno scored the knockout and added to his stack.

Ryan Laplante had gotten his 23,500 in from the big blind and was at risk against the small blind.

Opponent: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

It was a flip in the blinds, and the {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop kept the sevens in front. The {j-Diamonds} turn provided Laplante with a lot more outs, and the {9-Spades} river gave him a straight and the double.

With roughly 17,000 in the pot on a {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, Dylan Linde checked the big blind, an early position player checked, and Rob Wazwaz bet 10,000 in the hijack. Only Linde continued.

The duo checked down the {k-Spades} turn and {9-Clubs} river, and Linde tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} to claim the pot as Wazwaz mucked.
