Evans Takes on River

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Michael Evans opened to 1,500 under the gun, Rich Alsup flatted in early position, and the hijack three-bet to 5,000. Both Evans and Alsup called.

The flop landed {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and action checked to the hijack who bet 3,200. Only Evans continued.

The {3-Hearts} turn was checked to the {10-Spades} river and Evans led for 4,000. His opponent deliberated but folded to concede the pot.

Massey Doubles with Cowboys

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Ralph Massey
Ralph Massey

A player opened from early position and Ralph Massey three-bet to 3,700 on the button. Action folded back to the original raiser who four-bet to 12,000, Massey five-bet jammed for 29,100, and his opponent called.

Ralph Massey: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop changed nothing and the {7-Diamonds} turn left Massey just needing to fade an ace. The {2-Diamonds} completed the board and Massey secured the double.

Toomas Finds River Call

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Elvis Toomas
Elvis Toomas

With roughly 10,000 in the pot on a {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board, Elvis Toomas bet 4,000 in the big blind, Steve Wilkie called in early position, and Ryan Laplante folded the cutoff.

The {q-Spades} completed the board and Toomas checked. Wilkie tossed out a bet of 10,000, and Toomas thought about it and called.

Wilkie tabled {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and it was no good as Toomas showed {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} to collect the pot.
