Walston Earns a Double and a Friend

The under-the-gun player flat-called the big blind and Barb Walston raised to 8,000 in middle position. Action folded back to the UTG player who pushed a large stack of blue chips forward and said, "All-in." Walston called and quickly flipped over her 
hoping she was ahead.

Facing the bad news, Walston verbally mentioned that she needed some help. The dealer quickly put out the board.
Board: 
As the dealer counted Walston's chips, the realization hit her that she had survived with a rivered straight.
"She's still alive!" shouted her neighbor to her right, Chance Kornuth. "What's your name?" shouted Kornuth still enjoying the excitement of the hand.
It appears Walston not only earned a double-up but also a new friend.
