Kempson Busts to Dhingra

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Corey Kempson
Corey Kempson

Corey Kempson raised to 4,000 from the cutoff and Gautam Dhingra three-bet to 16,000 in the small blind. Michael O'Grady folded his big blind and Kempson decided to shove which Dhingra snap-called.

Corey Kempson: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Gautam Dhingra: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for them both to hit top pair but keep Dhingra ahead.

"Diamond, diamond three," the table asked for.

The tun was the {8-Spades} which didn't change things and neither did the {2-Clubs} on the river as Kempson made his way to the cashier to reenter while it is still possible.

No Turn Needed

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Vincent Huang opened the action with a raise to 4,000 in the cutoff and faced resistance in David Wang on the button, who three-bet to 12,000. Huang made the call and checked the {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop. Wang continued for 9,000 and that won the pot right there.

Hamish Crawshaw
Hamish Crawshaw

Hamish Crawshaw shoved from the button for just over 32,000 and was called by Michael O'Grady in the big blind.

Hamish Crawshaw: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Michael O'Grady: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for O'Grady to find another nine on the flop to eliminate Crawshaw.

Zhao Eliminated by Rafferty

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Zuxian Zhao
Zuxian Zhao

Zuxian Zhao raised to 5,000 and Tom Rafferty moved all in out of the big blind. Zhao gave it brief consideration and called for what appeared to be 40,000.

Zuxian Zhao: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Tom Rafferty: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {9-Hearts} in the window was promising, but it was followed by the {5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. After the blank {10-Diamonds} turn, the outs of Zhao were reduced to the three remaining aces in the deck and he would not get there as he {5-Clubs} river also bricked off.

When asked if he may re-enter, Zhao said "I am thinking about it, but need at least half an hour to unwind." With the upcoming 30-minute dinner break at the end of the current level, that still leaves some time to make up his mind.

"Don't Pack Up Yet!"

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Zuxian Zhao
Zuxian Zhao

Hun Wei Lee raised to 4,000 from the hijack and Zuxian Zhao shoved from the cutoff for 20,600. Action folded back to Lee who quickly made the call.

Zuxian Zhao: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Hun Wei Lee: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Zhao got up from his chair and started packing his stuff up when he saw Lee's hole cards.

"Don't pack up yet!" Lee said to Zhao.

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} with the ace in the window and Zhao sat down.

The rest of the board was completed with the {8-Hearts} on the turn and the {9-Diamonds} on the river for Zhao to double up.

Zmukic Runs Out of Chips

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Vesko Zmukic
Vesko Zmukic

From under the gun, Matthew Wakeman raised to 4,000 and Hussein Hassan in the small blind glanced at his stack before moving all in. Vesko Zmukic called all in for 6,500 in the small blind and Wakeman folded.

Vesko Zmukic: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Hussein Hassan: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop left Zmukic in desperate shape and he was drawing dead on the {q-Spades} turn, the {q-Hearts} river didn't matter anymore.

"At least I lost with a full house," Zmukic said before heading out of the tournament area.

O'Grady Doubles Through Kempson

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Michael O'Grady
Michael O'Grady

Michael O'Grady shoved from under the gun for 26,100 and so did Corey Kempson in the cutoff with the bigger stack for the rest of the table to fold.

Michael O'Grady: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Corey Kempson: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for O'Grady to pick up the flush draw.

The turn was the {2-Spades} to not change anything but the {10-Hearts} on the river meant O'Grady hit a pair of tens to stay alive and double up.

Wang Jams Into Young

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Rory Young checked the {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{q-Spades} turn over to David Wang, who bet 12,000 and picked up a call. Young also checked the {2-Diamonds} on the river and Wang quickly moved all in.

This happened to be for 44,000 effectively, as that's what Young had left. No call followed as Young reluctantly released his cards into the muck.

Endersby Calls With Queen-High and Wins

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds over on the feature table, the completed board showed {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and Travis Endersby checked. Nauvneel Kashyap bet 16,000 into a pot of 24,100 and that sent Endersby into the think tank.

Eventually he called and Kashyap rolled over {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a busted straight and flush draw, which Endersby had beat with {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a pair of aces on the board and queen-high.
