Woodhams Doubles Through Strang

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The flop read {6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Nicholas Woodhams got all his chips in and was at risk for 109,500 from the early position as Errolyn Strang, the 2011 Sydney Champs Main Event champion had him covered.

Nicholas Woodhams: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Errolyn Strang: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Strang had the overpair while Woodhams was sitting on a flush draw.

The turn brought them the {3-Clubs} for Woodhams to hit the flush indeed and Strang got up from her chair.

The river completed the board with the {6-Diamonds} as a formality. Strang was ready to leave the feature table but was stopped by the dealer as she covered Woodhams.

Gonzalez Busts Forrester

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Soon after losing most of his stack, Barry Forrester was all in before the flop with the {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Carlos Gonzalez looked him up with {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}. The {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop improved Gonzalez to top pair and he made rips on the {10-Hearts} turn. A blank {9-Hearts} fell on the river and Forrester headed to the rail.

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Shaun Zammit
Shaun Zammit

Shaun Zammit scored an early double and then doubled again through Reza Vakili. They got it in after the {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} flop with Zammit holding {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for top set while Vakili had the {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for the nut flush draw.

The {9-Diamonds} turn and {9-Spades} river improved both players and Zammit doubled with a full house.

Shortly after, Monil Gohil jammed and Zammit reshoved from one seat over.

Monil Gohil: {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Shaun Zammit: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The board came {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and that spelled the end for Gohil.

"Back in the game," another player at the table remarked to Zammit, who jumped to an above-average stack.
