Aido's Set Scoops Big Pot

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Dan Cates raised to 180,000 from the small blind and folded to a three-bet by Koray Aldemir out of the big blind.

The next hand would take far longer and again, Cates ended up second-best.

Cates raised to 120,000 on the button and Sergio Aido three-bet to 425,000 in the big blind, Cates called. On the {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, Aido checked and called a bet worth 300,000 by Cates. After the {10-Clubs} turn, Aido checked again and Cates fired a second bet worth 575,000.

Aido just called and checked the {6-Clubs} river. Cates gave it plenty of consideration before making a decision, and ultimately tapped the table with a "I make a very tight check."

Aido flipped over {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a set of tens, while Cates showed his inferior {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.
