Dan Cates

Soon after agreeing to a deal, Dan Cates got his stack in from the small blind. It was Sergio Aido who had raised to 150,000 from the button and Cates' shove was for around 1,400,000. Aido just wanted to have a rough estimate and nodded, called and the cards were turned over.

Dan Cates: {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Sergio Aido: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

"That is not a bad fold, eh?" Cates shrugged over to Koray Aldemir before the flop fell {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Cates had some chop outs, but the {4-Clubs} turn and {8-Spades} river were both blanks. According to the deal numbers, Cates takes home HK$7,7651,156 for his efforts.

Aido starts heads up with a solid, but not dominating lead.
