Colman Scoops Pot Against Badziakouski

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

A fairly big pot emerged to the {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} turn and 75,000 were in the middle with Mikita Badziakouski out of the big blind and Daniel Colman from under the gun to act. Badziakouski bet 53,000 and Colman called before the {2-Clubs} river was checked down.

Badziakouski briefly showed his cards to Colman, who in return flipped over {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} for top two pair.

The last hand of the level saw Badziakouski in action against Rui Cao and the latter bet the {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs} turn for 10,500. Badziakouski raised to 28,000 and that won the pot.

Cates Joins; Peters and Kuznetsov Win Small Pots

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

David Peters was the initial raiser over on table two and just Yu Liang called from one seat over. The flop fell {3-Spades}{9-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and both players checked. On the {A-Spades} turn, the action went check, check, as well and Peters then scooped the pot without showdown on the {A-Hearts} river by betting 8,000.

One hand later, Paul Phua raised to 3,000 from the cutoff and Timofey Kuznetsov's three-bet to 9,000 won the pot. At the same time, Dab Cates sat down between them and increased the field size to 12 entries.

A Second Table Opens

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Dario Sammartino and Mustapha Kanit had to move tables as they were last seen over on table two sipping tea. However, that table is now in use with the arrival of Paul Phua and Sergio Aido. In order to balance the two tables, Yu Liang, David Peters and Timofey Kuznetsov were moved over.

Phil Ivey then showed up at the registration desk only a minute later and sat down over on table one.

Liang Shoves into Kempe

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Yu Liang
Yu Liang

Rainer Kempe opened to 2,800 from under the gun and picked up three callers including Yu Liang on the button and Rui Cao as well as Peter Chan in the blinds. On the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, action checked to Kempe and his continuation bet worth 7,500 was called by Liang only.

The {2-Clubs} on the turn saw Kempe check, Liang bet 35,000 and Kempe called. The German and resident of Brighton in the U.K. then checked the {7-Clubs} river and Liang moved all in. Kempe asked for a count and the shove was for 185,200, which Kempe had covered by just a few big blinds. Ultimately, that was too much and Kempe folded.

Three Barrels by Peters

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

David Peters raised to 3,000 from under the gun and the action folded all the way around to Daniel Colman in the big blind. The 6-Max champion of last night called and the flop fell {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Colman check-called a first barrel worth 7,000 and did so again for 19,000 on the {4-Clubs} turn.

The {10-Clubs} river completed the board and Colman checked the third street in a row. Peters bet 45,000, a decent portion of his remaining stack, and that ultimately did the trick to force a fold with the third barrel.

One Full Table Running

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Winfred Yu, the President of Poker King Club, walked into the tournament room to have a quick look and even volunteered to take a picture with Mustapha Kanit in his cow costume. Rainer Kempe opted to buy-in and take the two seat to make it a full eight-handed table, but the German had to wait for the previous hand to finish before getting his first cards.

John Juanda was also spotted in the tournament room as well, but hasn't entered yet.

Colman Takes from Badziakouski

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Mikita Badziakouski and Daniel Colman in early position as well as Yu Liang on the button all invested 7,000 each and headed to a flop of {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{J-Spades} flop, which was checked through. On the {5-Hearts} turn, the trio checked as well before Badziakouski bet the {6-Clubs} river for 8,000.

Colman raised to 50,000 and Liang quickly folded, Badziakouski came to the same conclusion but needed two minutes of consideration.

More for Cao and Peters

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Hand 1

Mikita Badziakouski raised to 3,000 from the button and David Peters three-bet to 13,500 in the big blind, which Badziakouski called. On the {J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Peters slowed down and checked, then called a bet worth 9,000 by Badziakouski. The same action repeated on the {6-Spades} turn for 17,000 before the {9-Clubs} went check, check.

Peters flipped over {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Badziakouski had the superior kicker with {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}.

Hand 2

Rui Cao opened to 2,500 and Peters three-bet to 10,500 in the small blind, Cao called. On the {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, Peters bet only 1,600 and Cao, somewhat surprised, asked if that was a miss click. "I meant to bet bigger," Peters replied and Cao called. The {8-Hearts} turn saw Peters check, Cao bet 16,500 and Peters called.

Both then checked the {2-Spades} river and Peters turned over {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, Cao had that beat with {7-Spades}{6-Spades} and claimed the pot. " You checked the river? What a nit," Timofey Kuznetsov joked and Daniel Colman chimed in with "yeah, you have the nuts there."
