Schulman Makes an Incredible Calldown, Picks Off Lamb

Level 13 : 0/0, 30,000 ante

In a three-way limped pot, Ben Lamb fired 170,000 in position on the {J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Spades} flop, holding {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Nick Schulman called under the gun with {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Chow Hing Yaung also wanted to see the turn, matching the price with {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} in the cutoff.

The {8-Clubs} hit the felt and Lamb barrelled for 445,000 and Schulman stuck around, calling. Chow released his hand.

The {9-Spades} completed the board and Schulman checked one more time. Lamb went for it and sized his third barrel at 1,030,000.

Schulman spent over three minutes tanking and then made the sick call and scooped a huge pot to cement his chip lead.

Ben Lamb was dealt {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} in the second position and raised. Nick Schulman then jammed in the hijack with {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}, making it 2,415,000. Lamb called right away. The board of {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{J-Clubs} gave Schulman a nine-high straight and he claimed the 5 million pot to claim the pole position, pushing his stack just ahead of Lamb's.

Foo Climbs Close to Four Million

Level 13 : 0/0, 30,000 ante

Foo Sze Ming looked down at {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} in the second position and he raised to 300,000. Ben Lamb called on the button with {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and they went to the {J-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop and the betting round was checked.

The {A-Clubs} hit the turn and Foo decided to fire a delayed continuation-bet, making it 250,000. Lamb let his hand go.

Ivan Leow Elminated in 7th Place (HKD 313,418)

Ivan Leow

Foo Sze Ming opened with a raise to 250,000 and Ivan Leow called. Nick Schulman called as well and it was three-way action to the flop.

On the {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop, Foo checked and Leow moved all in for 785,000. Schulman thought for a bit, then decided to fold, but Foo quickly called.

Foo Sze Ming: {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Ivan Leow: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and the river was the {K-Spades} and Leow had fallen into Ming's trap on the flop. Foo's full house held strong and he would eliminate Leow.

For his run in this event and his seventh-place finish, Leow collected 313,418 HKD.

Leow Doubles His Short Stack

Level 12 : 0/0, 25,000 ante

Ivan Leow peeled the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} in the third position and open-shoved his last 455,000. The action folded to Ben Lamb who found {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} on the button. He made a reluctant call and while the clash would be considered a coin flip in no-limit hold'em, the graphics showed just a 38-percent chance for Lamb to scoop.

The {6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop pushed Leow ahead but Lamb caught extra outs on the {A-Clubs} turn as he spiked a straight draw. Leow had to fade a seven or an eight and he managed to do so when the {Q-Clubs} appeared.

Chio Lin Ern Eliminated as the Bubble Boy

Level 12 : 0/0, 25,000 ante
Chio Lin Ern
Chio Lin Ern

Kenneth Kee limped in holding {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Chow Hing Yaung called as well with {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Ben Lamb was holding {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and he decided to just move all in with the biggest stack on the table. Next to go was Chio Lin Ern and he called off his stack of roughly 2,000,000 holding {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Everyone else folded so it was off to the races between Lamb and Chio.

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Lamb paired his ace to take the lead in the hand. He held on through the turn and river and Chio was eliminated as the bubble boy of the tournament, guaranteeing the rest of the players remaining a payday.

Kee Survives on a Sweaty Board, Doubles Through Leow

Level 12 : 0/0, 25,000 ante

Kenneth Kee limped in the second position with {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Ivan Leow made it 225,000 in the cutoff, holding {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. Kee moved all in for 1,430,000 and Leow instantly called.

The {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} gave Leow an open-ended straight draw and he received some more outs on the {Q-Clubs} turn, spiking another club. The turn card, however, blocked the higher end of his straight draw as Kee now had a Broadway draw. And the river was the {10-Diamonds}, giving both players a straight. Kee survived on the bubble and scored a huge double to move to second in chips. Leow dropped all the way to the bottom place.
