Robl Ousted by Chan

Level 5 : 0/0, 3,000 ante

Chan Wai Leong opened to 21,000 and he was called by Marius Tobergesen in the cutoff and Andrew Robl moved all in on the button for 99,000. Chan moved all in over the top and Torbergesen folded.

Andrew Robl: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Chan Wai Leong: {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and Chan made a striaght on the river to send Robl to the rail. He headed to the registration desk and quickly re-entered the tournament.

Patgorski Stacks Tang to Move over 800,000

Level 5 : 0/0, 3,000 ante

Romain Arnaud limped in, as did Devan Tang, and Ben Lamb before Gabe Patgorski checked on the button.

The flop was {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and Arnaud led out for 20,000. Tang called while Lamb folded, but Patgorski called as well.

The turn was the {J-Diamonds} and Arnaud checked. Tang moved all in for 73,000 and Patgorski asked for a count before calling. Arnaud folded and it was on to a showdown for Tang and Patgorski.

Devan Tang: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Gabe Patgorski: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

Tang still had a few outs with flush cards as well as a king, but the river was the {10-Spades} and that meant that Patgorski would stack Tang, moving over 800,000. Tang used his final rebuy bullet so that left him with 100,000 chips.

Eight-Ball for Ivey

Level 4 : 0/0, 2,000 ante

After four limps, Richard Yong made it 34,000 with {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} on the button and the first limper Phil Ivey called with {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Ivey checked and Yong put him at risk for 66,000 effective. Ivey thought for a bit and then placed his chips in.

He binked the {8-Spades} on the turn and Yong was drawing dead as he couldn't recover against Ivey's nut straight. The {9-Hearts} river was a formality and Ivey doubled to 216,000, sending Yong on a short stack.

Lamb Bluffs Some to Patgorski

Level 4 : 0/0, 2,000 ante

Catching action on the turn with the board showing {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Ben Lamb was first to act. He put out a bet of 35,000 and Gabe Patgorski, who was next to act, called. Everyone else folded and it was on to the river.

The river was the {10-Spades} and Lamb put out another bet, making it 100,000. Patgorski thought for a long while, using one of his time bank chips even before he decided to call.

"King," Lamb said.

It was no good because Patgorski was holding {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for a better pair, and that would earn him the pot to chip him up to nearly 700,000.

Chan Stacks Robl With Flush Over Flush

Level 4 : 0/0, 2,000 ante
Wai Leong Chan

Andrew Robl limped under the gun with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Ivan Leow overlimped with {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. Chan Wai Leong called with {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Marius Torbergesen checked with {J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

They all checked the {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop and the {6-Diamonds} put Robl in a sick spot as he turned an inferior flush.

Robl checked, Leow fired 15,000 and Chan raised to 45,000. Robl then jammed his 132,000 and Chan called with the second nuts.

Robl could hope for a queen of diamonds to make a straight flush but the {A-Diamonds} appeared on the river and he was forced to use a new bullet.

Ivey Busts and Re-Enters

Level 4 : 0/0, 2,000 ante

Phil Ivey raised all in under the gun, making it 71,000. Marius Torbergsen repushed in the hijack and Ivan Leow joined the action with a high pair on the button, having 82,000 in chips.

Ivey: {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Torbergesen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Leow: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

Ivey was in bad shape and the {6-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} board eliminated him as Leow finished with queens full.

Ivey re-entered and took a seat on one of the outer tables.

Andrew Robl got his last 77,000 into the middle with {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and he was up against Phil Ivey with {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

"Who's the favorite?" Ivey asked and Robl said that ace-queen was sligthly ahead.

But this time the jacks would be the best hand on the river with the board rolling out {7-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}.

Ivey's stack was halved to 77,000 while Robl continued with 152,000.

Leow Crippled by Torbergesen

Level 4 : 0/0, 2,000 ante

On the turn reading {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, Ivan Leow checked with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Phil Ivey fired 40,000 with {K-}{Q-}. Marius Torbergesen called in the cutoff with {9-Spades}{8-Spades} and Leow countered with a check-shove worth 196,000. Ivey released his hand and Torbergesen called with the boat, having only 8,000 fewer than Leow. Torbergesen claimed the big double when the {6-Hearts} hit the felt and improved to almost 500,000 in chips. Leow was crippled to 8,000.
